Subject: [news] Supporters Mood Update
rtg [del] to
All
As of next season your supporters reaction to victories and defeats will change. Your supporters shall be less disappointed if they lose to a stronger team, especially if the score line was close. If you marginally lose against a much stronger team the chances are your supporters mood could rise as they will see this as good progress. As always there is a dark side. If you lose against a weaker team you can expect your supporters to be very upset at this loss and have a severe mood swing. Also when playing against weaker opposition it will be harder for you to please your supporters as they will now expect you to win comfortably.
These changes will affect league games, play-off games, friendlies and cup games.
Please be aware that the influence of supporters mood after a game was always calculated depending on the strength of the opposition and score, now it will be more visible.

Well, so far my supporters seem to be even more fickle. Last season's final match was a loss, supporters were satisfied. No change after the 14:0 drubbing in the cup game but after loosing to stevierbob's AFC Polmont (again!) 2:1, the supporters are depressed... I guess they got used to me clobbering Polmont :-)
This is bad news for teams at the top end of the rankings. Supporters mood down twice this season.
After winning 3-0 in the first two rounds of the cup and a 4-4 draw with the Champions in the league. Id have thought that was reasonable!?
Anyway looks like playing weak reserves in the cup and friendlies could be damaging to crowd revenue. Im not sure if its worth playing a few first teamers, upto now always avoided due to the injury risk. I wonder what the minimum win against a weak opponent is, 5-0 Im guessing at the moment. No idea what they expect from visiting the Haggis Hunters, looks like a tough draw, but they'll probably expect a comfy win.
In Summary, I hope this is not only going to be good news for big fish in deep waters!
Can't I offer a free pie at next home game to sort it out?

a team in spain won 15-0 and still lost supporters. Mee thinks the tweak was too much
I've been winning my cup games 14:0 and 12:0 bu lost two league games in a row (2:1 and 4:1) after a long long winning streak but my supporters are still depressed. That's like HT :-)
"Your supporters are furious"
I lost another 14 supporters at the last update. I have had a poor start to the season, out of the cup and only 2 points from 9 and my fans hated me because of losing the qualifier last season.
I can't see them being much happier in the short term since the next 8 matches are against teams with lower ranking so even if I win by a big margin it will not appease them.
The developers should have had a reset for the supporters mood before making any changes. Perhaps not a total reset but only for the extreme levels of mood.
I am assuming those with a high level of mood are finding it easy to stay high?

You will be a good test team to see if you can get the mood back up.
As you say, you have 8 games in a row where your very likely to win big. So we shall see if this helps, it should, and also how big you need to win to get a positive response when up against a weak opponent.
edit: My last two victories has put me mood up. They were 2 decent wins against 2 high ranked teams. But how big you need to win against weak opponents is the great unknown at the moment.

I did not say I would win big, I only said the teams were lower ranked than mine. I don't want to upset my league opponents anymore than usual :D
I will post my supporters mood if I manage to win any of my matches to show the effect.

The win big bit is my opinion.
Might be worthwhile posting your results and mood after each result from now on, including friendlies whether its a win or not. Hopefully would be a good insight into how the system works.

Fan mood is a funny old thing...
After relegating from the Premier my mood dived to the lowest level but strangely levelled up again quite quickly by winning solely against lower ranked opponents including a bot in the cup.
Maybe winning my league games by 5 and 6 goals helped?
Strange though that even with my fan mood at the maximum and playing a top 10 ranked club in the cup that i barely sold out half my capacity on Wed.
So my fans are delighted but they are staying away...maybe that's why they are so happy :)

The Hoops fans are probably on a downer at the moment after a poor start in the league for them.
wow... i just realised that my supporter mood has dropped from level 7 to 6 and i've lost supporter money this week due to me only winning 10:0 against a bot team in the cup last wednesday.
quite rediculous really...

Mood: Your supporters are losing hope
Mood up one level after winning 6-0
Edit:
Lenzie are not ranked that far below us I would have hoped for more than one level after winning by 6 goals.
