Jacques-Louis Beraud, age: 20
value: 97 200 £, wage: 1 410 £
club: AFC POLMONT, country: France
weak form, good tactical discipline
average stamina, tragic keeper
solid pace, excellent defender
solid technique, unsatisfactory playmaker
excellent passing, solid striker
The above player was a brilliant+? youth when i signed him - the previous owner couldnt tell me his talent as he never tracked him . what id like is your input as to whether you see him as a striker or a defender ?
ive played him as a defender whilst i train his pace but as im changing training soon i dont know whether its better to train him as a striker or whether to train him as a defender
Thanks to anyone who answers and helps me out with their opinion !

Difficult question as hard as to answer to question, which was first egg or chicken.
I think he will play just fine in both positions.

eh? its got to be defender - playing him as striker is a waste of his passing ability
But he lacks in pm, that`s why imo he is`t perfect defender either.
a striker can use passing and defending, a def cant use striker ... thuuuuuuuus ....
PM trainee for me... perfect mid longterm, and if he gets to excellent/formiddable pm, then as usual in transfer market for mids, should make a mint :)
other than that, i would have said def, though mid longterm is best IMO

when have you seen a striker use passing langhe? A very very very small percentage of it. I can see the argument of
defender - bye bye striker level as its useless as a defender.
striker - for me bye bye passing as its useless as a striker.
so considering he is already 1 level ahead in defending i would opt for that one and say bye bye to the striker level.
I can see the striker camp saying oooo he has excellent defending and can rob the ball of the opponents defenders (sometimes).
so for me its still defender (51% to 49%) :D

when have you seen a striker use passing langhe?
- when my midfielder passes to him and he passes it to the other winger and launches a great counter. Winger gives cross, striker scores
- everytime my striker is near the other striker or close to my winger, he tries to pass the header to them, using his passing.
- when he has rounded up the defense and passes to the free standing striker in the centre of the penalty area
- ...
Outstanding passing on a striker is lovely :)

ok doky i stand corrected then - maybe looking at the U21s with no passing has hindered me lol.
I change my mind based on Langhes theory striker it is.
/rtg goes to sell all his strikers for ones with passing now.

agreed. i really like my strikers with passing.
in fact, i probably wouldn go as far as saying that i wouldn't buy any striker with less than good passing as it would be a disaster for my teams quick counter attacking style.

Maybe only my opinion or taste, but passing goes together playmaking. Striker needs both skills to pass the ball successfully.

thanks for all the input gents !
i thought defender but , by going from what you all seem to suggest he needs to be trained in striker - i think i should sell him as i need to train other things than striker at the moment as i have the 3 players i need just now
i think ill put a transfer announcement out on him and see what happens !
