rtg [del] to All
I have been reading some interesting points of view on the junior school and thought i would bring it up in here.

The junior school on average costs me 740400 per season. Have i ever made a return on the school per season? Im not too sure if i have or not - pretty sure i havent.

So... should i jack the whole school in, sack the coach and use that 740k per season to buy my juniors in? Pretty interesting reasoning in doing it.

The only downside is obviously if everyone started doing it the U21 and National teams would become totally rubbish.

you only have to hit the jackpot once to pay your school for the next 4 seasons :)
and there's always some minor cash coming in from pulls :)

Hang on a minute folks, every time you use a youth from youth school and make him a trainee. That has a value. You need to take that into account. For starters Nevis and Nesbit alone in my team would have cost at least £2M each to buy, thats 6 seasons worth before even moving on.

Advice to all.

Keep your youth schools, its a win for you, and for for sokker Scotland.

Nb: Not exactly loving the new system, its too random in my opinion. Mind you it usually takes me at least a couple of years to adjust to any 'change'.

Agree! I pulled a ton of crap, several semi-decent players which I sold for a few thousand to a few hundred thousand, and two absolute gems (Kris Lennie and Bruce Henry). The former I am training myself (and hence saved about £2 million), the latter I sold to Ally for £1.9 million. So, I think it's really worth it, definitely for the SK Scotland and I figure I am breaking at least even financially.

I just posted elsewhere that I'm cutting my YS down from 30 spaces to 15 for the reasons that Stevie stated above.

With only 15 the youth coach shouldn't be too far out in his estimations of the 11 starters and the rest will be able to replace the promoted guys.

Financially speaking, dont forget the sell on clauses when doing your figures. Guys that you sell for 100k can go for £4m by the age of 23 so that's another 200k to add in.
