Watch out for the Dominican Republic, probably a bigger threat than Russia.

the fixtures are screwed. We play Italy away then home on the first game of the season on the same day. We then dont play everyone else twice and also play russia on week 0 of NEXT season.

we have no game round 6 & 9. The only other country in the same boat is Denmark so i am hopeful we can have a double friendly with them in this week. Prolly u25 or something like that.

Realistically. Its between us and Russia for 2nd. Italy you'd expect to win the group. Although we have had good results against them before, you never know. Id be happy with 2nd and continue our record of at least qualifying for every tournament so far.

yup. My preferred style is the 5-3-2 or 5-4-1 however i tend with the first one as i hate using wingers. Wingers in my opinion are overrated - tried it with the u21s and failed miserably with wingers. Putting 2 forwards together holding hands makes the other defence panic and not be able to mark them.

Russia will be strong with the superior attack, whereas Italy are just simply too strong for us. Dominican Republic scares me senseless with their fantastic players and results of late.

I reckon realistically we are looking at fourth in this group.

You never had wingers at U21 level, but I get what your saying.

I guess the qualifying dream can't go on forever, maybe 4th is realistic mate. Lets face it, were nae a great sokker Nation!

Italy lost 3-0 to Switzerland - wow i wouldnt want that job - their community are going mental oriental at the current manager for it. Once again the wing proves to be utterly pointless in this game.
