i earned more tonight from the transfer of a junior i sold for 60k last september.
how can i only be getting 10k fans and 40k income from a home match, bug? or is the game going to pot?
Its pretty consistent to, the fans have been shocking.
I also feel the games as a whole is losing its appeal. ok its still miles better than the rest, but there seems to have been detrimental changes which is very apparent even browsing through the forum's

It has become harder to make money, and even sustain money for paying high wages for coaches and players.
The other things that have changed are fan mood is harder to stay high. This annoyed my to start with but Ive got used to it. its another measure to match it harder for very good teams to stay very good.
A lot of users are annoyed by this. This will affect attendances and sponser money. Ive suggested sponser money should stay the same throughout the season and be adjusted at the end depending on how well you did. Not sure if that will take off.
The youths being changed has also caused pain. I know why its been done. To make it harder to know if you have a top talent. And maybe you have to train him in the main team first to make sure of the talent. But when you get used to something working one way a change is going to cause plenty grumbles. But I suppose th game needs to change sometimes to give you something knew to deal with.
The general game play of sokker is still good, this is what people play the game for. Sometimes these others things get in the way.

Dandy, regarding your comment "to make it harder to know if you have a top talent" do you know what was the harm in knowing if you had a top talent? Can't see why they have changed the system to be honest. And these junior games are a waste of time in my opinion. I just don't see the point in them.
Yeah, not convinced its a great thing either. I think thats how we lost deezi. Were gonna have to live with it.

Because talented juniors was selling for more than fully trained 24yr olds and that is something greg didnt like and even though I hate the new junior system myself I do agree with greg, it was a change for the better really.

i am not keen on the fan mood and the junior games (i keep forgetting to set up my team) but i am enjoying sokker as a whole
my team seems to be improving but i am unlikely to ever get to the top flight but its fun trying

i voted yes.
why?
the fan mood system and form is a total pain in the grass for me. To be very honest if it wasnt for the u21s and NT i would have maybe jacked the game in (ok maybe not as im simply addictive) but really it needs to change. About 3 seasons ago i could easily manage to have 3 unearthly coaches - now im down to one - ok what greg has done is possibly correct but it sure isnt funny for us long termers in the game.
Regards the ME - it could change for the better in a few areas but there is a major lack in wanting to change the existing ME (maybe its because they dont know how to)

Here is another example.
Todays update 5 fans left the club.
This is after winning 5-1 in my last game and unbeaten in 3 games

Forgive me for jumping in if that bothers you.
Why would you think your fans would only look at your last 3 games? You have lost 2 out of your last 5 competitive matches and 3 in your last 8. Maybe you should feel lucky you only lost 5.

fans were at level 7, i got beat 2-0 by patches eleven week 4, they dropped to level 1, week 4 also lost a junior game 1-0. Week 5 won 4-2 and drew a junior game they went to level 2, i then won 4-2 in a league game then won 2-0 junior game, they stayed at level 2. After last nights game week 7 they are now at level 3.
This is my point though, i understand what you are saying about the changes and this is why i posted, i dont like the changes, hate them and i was trying to gauge what everyone else thinks. I am personally on the verge of throwing in the towel as in order to be successful now you would need to spend alot more time in the game which i dont have anymore. Hence the loss of enjoyment. RTG has just summed it up for me and put across exactly what i am thinking,
dagwood i have lost 40 fans in the last 4 weeks, and as i said i only have 10k fans turning up for a home game when before the changes i could rely on pretty much a full house and that income meant i broke even financially.
Anyways its an interesting poll so far and staying on finances i think if things stay as they are players like myself will be less willing to pay for plus

My fans seem to be happy when I'm in first place and the mood slowly drops when I am not. Wins in the cup give a small boost and losses hurt. Juniors and Friendlies wins and losses seem to matter based on the competition your facing.
My fans expect a title and I know supporter mood will suffer if I don't deliver.
Sounds better than "all my guys have 3.5 talent or better!"
just saying

Your lucky my fan mood has only ever slowly increased and sharply decreased i.e. starting on level 7 top - if i lose a game Boooom im down to 0. I then need to win 3/4 games to get it back to 7. The system is simply utter cack

I do think we have a problem, we have quite a few disgruntled users. And its the up and coming teams in division one who are complaining most. Is it because these divisions are tighter? I think SPL teams have got used to it. My concern is if they ditch in playing the game. We'll all suffer as there will be less teams and less competition. We are fairly low on user numbers as is.
Im not sure if there is an easy way round it. Is there a happy medium. devs seem to think its ok from what rtg says. Any change to make it easier to make money again. Will it just benifit the best teams. So making it easy for them to stay stronger. Is it a rock and a hard place job?

@artikis and everyone suffering bad from moody fans. When my mood suffers, and Ive hit furious mood every season since the new system started. What I do to try and boost it is seek out easy friendly opponents. A good friendly win can give a small boost. Especially if its against a team deemed better than you or the same. But this usually means risking a superstar or two to try a force a big win. The effect is smaller than a league game, but at least is a possitive effect. Its a pain, but the only thing you can do.
Usually in my case anyway its a sub level boost so you can't be sure if it went up or not. Some of the div 1 teams might get a full level boost as your strength is lower so you can get a better boost by beating a stronger team. It feels like your pissing in the wind. And if you have a naff league result it will nullify it straight away.
Would be nice if the powres at be could find a way of fixing the pain fairly and bring back the fun.
A think tank would be a nice way. But ultimately devs decide on what they want to do. I know rtg has been campaigning for a while about this and other issues.
rtg, is there anything the community can do to help? If a lot of users get so peaved and leave it will be too late and be a total disaster for sokker and Scotland!
I can live with it, but nae happy if there a lot of nae happys about.
If the mood thing ain't gonna change. There must be plenty of easy solutions to all of this financial woes. Maybe an extra end of season bonus on league position. To reward the long suffering for achieving a decent position. But maybe its a steady weekly income thats required, a change to the sponsership as Ive said before. Make it steady for the season. Makes budgeting easier. Maybe make it bigger. Adjust every season. All based on division strength, success and fan base size. The usual.
Let the fans be up and down but make the attendance income slightly less important. These kinda measures are easier to implement, no need to change the mood system, just make the impact less severe. Im sure people will came down a bit if the attendance income wasn't such a high percentage of the total income.
If Im talking nonsense, just tell me!

my latest rant....
yup your right - prices doesnt matter at all. What does matter is that due to the supporter mood change (i think) then people are getting less sponsor money in. This is due to the plummet of supporters mood on a loss and the steady increase in mood when winning i.e. from 7 to 1 then 4 games later back to 7. Why does it take 1 game to freefall to rock bottom but 4 to get back up to where you started.
So yes we do adapt - i have just had to fire the 2 of the 3 magical assistants i had. I am adapting but to the players who dont realise its coaches that is killing them we can say bye bye to them due to bankruptcy.
The changes were all announced but nowhere did it ever say "now you may have to rethink your coaches as you will have much much much less money that what you had before each week".
Thats the biggest single issue that i see - teams were in a comfort zone and have been "unwittingly" battered economy wise with absolutely no warning of it happening.
I know Greg says there is nothing wrong - many teams have plenty money yada yada yada but im seeing too many in Scotland now firing coaches who have had these coaches for many a season (i had mine for 4 seasons, easily maintaining them - even in division 2) now i have to fire or else i would have said bye bye due to finances.
There is something clearly wrong and for the devs to take the ostrich in the sand approach is a tad frustrating.
