That was a nice surprise!.Didn't even remember anything about him & got £25k from the transfer!.
2010-09-30 17:14:37
yup its good when things like that happen tho with my junior school being pap for the last 3 years it wont happen to me for the near future
2010-10-22 22:31:52
do you guys know the approximate training speeds one should expect for pace?

I can't quite work out if my trainees are talented or not. I have an unearthly coach and 2 assistants (adequate and good)
2010-10-23 00:58:18
what is your head coaches pace skill? As the age increases so does the time for them to pop. My player was 4 weeks on the button until he hit 22 and it rose to 5-6 weeks
2010-10-23 03:25:53
unearthly is the pace skill of the coach :-P

let's say from unsatisfactory to poor at 18 or 19 - how long would you expect it to take?
2010-10-23 13:10:06
With good talent - one week
Wih average - two
With bad - 3+

Basically :)
2010-10-23 21:35:35
:-(

looks like I'll be doing some selling in the coming weeks
2010-10-23 21:40:02
Yeah, you either get lucky or you don't.

I went through 3 untalented players before finding this bloke:

Jozo Mutalović , age 20
value: 156 750 £
wage: 1 185 £
incredible [13] form

very good [9] stamina poor [3] keeper
solid [8] pace weak [4] defender
outstanding [12] technique solid [8] playmaker
very good [9] passing very good [9] striker

4 weeks to outstanding tech with pretty naff assistants, and 2 (to adequate) → 3 (to good) → 2 (to solid) in pace with even weaker assistants :)

this was 29/09/10. Amolador now has poor pace, Barreiro and Alexe unsatisfactory, Manzelli and Chalupnik weak, McMaster unsatisfactory.

pretty much the same for most other players I've got... eg at the last training I had two pace pops - and one was from tragic to hopeless. Now I have 13 guys age 21 and younger, so by that logic I can expect 6-7 weeks per pop on them? This is given I was really careful only getting 'fresh' youthpulls, ones that have not been transferred yet.

The only main problem you have is that paying that much for a keeper like that is that pace doesn't benefit his sale price much.

But it's nice to see you've gone down the youth route, like my team is all 20 or under :)
2010-10-24 11:01:11
but is having young guys pop once every 6-7 weeks on average normal?

esp. given that most of them have unsatisfactory or poor pace, with a couple maybe a bit higher?

If it takes 6 weeks to pop in pace to poor sell straight away!
2010-10-25 23:36:14
so I should sell all my squad?

the problem I have is that _everybody_ seems to be popping very slowly. To an extend that I am wondering if I am losing training... but I always field a lineup and don't exceed position limits.
2010-10-25 23:42:37
pace is alot slower than other forms of training but you shouls still be popping at no more than 3 weeks at the lower levels if they are taking longer than that there talent sucks
2010-10-27 22:57:06
I'll track down a couple more weeks of pops and see...
2010-10-28 00:56:22
I'm training Pace for the next few weeks. Will probably be in the market for some young trainees soon aswell.
