Good afternoon Scotland.
I'm a former England NT and U21 manager, who has managed at 2 world cups, and a former English cup finalist, although this was back when it was really easy to do well in the English cup.
I'm running for U21 in Scotland. The key to the U21 job now is to build up a team for the next World Cup qualification campaign. On this basis, if I got the job, I would try to book as many u-19 and u-20 games as possible with teams that have 20-40 ratings for next season. The purpose of this would be to improve the rating of the U21 team, while maintaining the interest of Scottish coaches in their youths.
But enough of this structured common sense, what you want from your candidates is a bit of insincerity, and a rousing speech.
In the words of Whitney Houston, I believe the children are the future, treat them well and let them show the way. In the U21 job I believe you can do this, and unlock the potential for future Scotland national teams. By monitoring the progress of players after they leave the U21 side, as we do in England, you can create a stronger Scottish NT for 10 seasons time. By creating lists of the best 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 year olds, as is done in England (and to do this I would ask for help from friendly MODs) you can create competition for places and encourage coaches of players to train.
There is so much that can be done to prepare for World Cup qualification. We have such a small amount of time to do it (3 months give or take).
But I, no let's make it We, We Have A Dream that Scotlands Tartan Army will Not Come Home Too Soon.
[rapturous applause]
Thankyou, Thankyou so much. Oh no, you really are too kind...
[sound of a tape player being switched off]
Errhem. Right. So I'll be off with my abuse and my 2 votes then.
Cheers.

As much as two? Im English you know. But been stuck up here for a long long time. Your setting your traget a bit high old chap. Bit of humour might help as the Scots like a laugh. Especially at English misforturtune.
Then I can't lose :). If I get the job and do well, then the Scots can celebrate their fruits of their training doing the job. If I do badly, then they can all laugh at the stupid Englishman.
Kind of like Andy Murray, but in reverse !
Besides, I already have 1 vote in the first hour of the campaign. Nearly there !

whats your opinion about wdp?
Rtg really cares about that one ... ;)

Not only does the U21 national coach have to pick the best of his youths, work out tactics based on the strengths of his best players and likely opposition tactics, they can also be an ambassador for their country abroad.
Here is one of my favourite threads, in Sokker Brasil, where I attempted to bring a little bit of England to the peoples of Sao Paulo, Brasilia, and many other types of shaving. Most of them took it in good humour, anyway...

So, you go onto a Brazillian forum and quickly insult an entire Spanish speaking community before going home for an English traditional dinner of chicken tikka masala served with shoulder chips?
Makes me wonder what you've got in store for us.

I think most people realised that my tongue was firmly in cheek. I was making polite fun of England and Englishness. And you made the same mistake I did. They speak Portuguese. :)

Lmao, I thought it was a deliberate ploy by yourself, I'm clearly giving you more credit than you deserve :)
nah, just a bit of harmless fun and entertainment. :).
Aaaah, the drunken grunts of a celebrity chef that were heard around the world.
Still, she's put 10 million or so into my, well, her club that I support, so gawd blesser and all that...

And she put horrid green things on every dinner plate
No, that was thatcher. Or did she nick the milk ?
It was all a long time ago now.
And every little green horrid thing that you ate went towards paying for Grant Holt, so don't tell me that was money wasted...

To all you doubters in the other thread, I look nothing like him.
