so it looks like I will win the league with a 100% record now with a very hard-fought 3-2 win against fighting irish celts.

prospects in the division above look grim though... at the very least I will need to totally rip apart my tactical plan and come up with something that's not just 'defend with 6, long ball, attack with 4'.

All down too the last game with 3 teams in with a chance.I lost my 1st 2 games of the season with the new young trainees but they have trained well and if i dont win this season next year i certainly will.

At the moment it looks like you are going into Div1 04 next season. That's not an easy one to pick up points in.

not expecting to pick up many points, my policy of only buying youngsters will make it really hard for me

what sort of skill levels do you need for Div1?

remember even getting hammered in div1 will get you more money than winning ever game in div 2

And the good news is that it looks like rtg's team will be joining you in Div 1.04 so unless rtg does a Thierry Henry & returns then that is a banker 6 points so at the worst you would avoid auto relegation & you should kick on from there. It looks like there are a few teams with similar ratings to yours so you should be ok. Then you just have to whip an easy team like Team Awesome in the playoffs!

well, somerled used to be in my league and stuffed me every time. The two guys below them might be beatable.

Top 4 ranked division 2 teams replace bottom 4 ranked division 1 teams.

Then 5th best in div 2 plays against fifth worst in div 1
6th best in div 2 plays against 6th worst in div 1

etc

Best and worst ranked on points then goal difference.

You are auto promoting into Div1 01 at the moment as long as you win on Sunday against Aberdeen Movement with a decent result.

think I need to beat his winning margin by +6 to better his record

i look certain to get to the play offs, but it is just making that team strong enough to win the play off match
