Conor Thompson popped to excellent PM. +12 on form overall, so not too bad update. YS had some pops too, including one to excellent.

Korczyk, Drake and LLanes all popped in passing

A Good week

Current coach is incredible on a wage of 14925

There is a brilliant for sale tomorrow night with wage 19590

There is no guarantee the player will continue training at (or around) 4 weeks though is there. He could tail off and end up a 5 weeker.

Or are you suggesting the brilliant coach will make sure he stays a 4 week popper?
2006-12-14 14:51:00
I think he is.

Better coach will make him train quicker.

So increasing the possibility of him increasing every 4 weeks.

Hmm, interesting. I have a player now that might just make brilliant in 6 weeks, perhaps upgrading trainer b4 next update will make sure he does.

(gets the calculator out and starts working with figures)

i'm not guarenteeing he will be definitely be a 4 weeker, but you give it a better chance.

although the improvement from incredible to brilliant won't be that significant.

personally i only ever think its worth while to upgrade 2 levels, so... magical ;)

Saw a magical coach go for over 277k last night, may well have gone past 300k I don't know. His wage was lower than many brilliants.

Anyway, I got my bril coach and happy enough with his 17.7k wage.
2006-12-17 12:18:40
nice... how much u pay for him?
2006-12-17 13:24:06
18900.. reject
18900.. that'll do nicely. :)

Skills select.

Got fed up being in bidding wars for coaches so gambled with magical as every skill except keeper which I set at 'ANY'
2006-12-17 15:26:19
jammy sod... i spent something like 150k last season on random coach select... or was it 250k?!!!

anyways, ended up with a brilliant costing me 20k a week :'(
2006-12-17 18:54:39
Lol, I've spent at least 250k total. I had to sort out my other coaches and fire ones I already had, On top of that won a bid on a coach 'after' I'd skills selected and just had to fire him.

That should be me sorted out now for the future, though I could still get better wages on the 2 guys that act as main, (covering 6 unearthly between them.)
2006-12-17 18:58:53
i think the guy you won the bid on after skill selecting another 1... meh, u know the one, well, if u didn't bring him in, after a week the transfer is canceled and i believe u only pay 10% of the transfer fee

Handy to know, I'll try to remember that.
2006-12-17 19:19:15
yep, just checked the rules the 10% after a week for coaches is correct...

and same applies for players bought on the transfer market...

if both the buyer and seller don't bring him in/send him away then both managers have to pay 10% each...

It's 1 week AND an update to be exact though.

Trained passing

18 yr old ---> adequate
26 yr old keeper ---> good
21 yr old ---> very good
19 yr old ---> solid
22 yr old ---> outstanding

Random pops

18 yr old ---> very good tech
18 yr old ---> poor def
18 yr old ---> poor striker
17 yr old ---> unsat striker
23 yr old ---> adequate striker

junior school

very good 1
good 3
solid 13

And the three 18 yr old random pops and the 18 yr old passing pop was the same player, has anyone ever had a player pop in more than four skills in one week?
