Form -18 or some such ridiculous figure. Would like to turn the bloody colours off so I don't notice it so much.

Another way of putting it would be 3 greens and 11 reds but that doesn't tell the whole story.

I've had 2 defenders on weak to tragic form for well over a season, bought a new one two weeks ago on divine form and he's down to excellent already.

I feel like swearing!

ok Mark is a good looking guy, but i'm not sure if he is good enough for NT material.

As he's 21, its his final year at trying to break into the U21's so he has quite a bit of work to get his passing up to a suitable level.

As a very very rough analysis, i have compared him to a couple of my MID trainees.

Mark's sum total of pace+tech+passing+defense+pm = 48
As a comparison, here are a selection of my own trainees:

21 yr old German U21 NT, with total of: 59
20 yr old Scot U21 NT, with total of: 49
20 yr old Romanian U21 NT, total of: 50
and even, 19 yr old trainee, total of: 51

ok, i know this is a very rough comparison, and Scotland is a small nation so the standard is not as high as other countries to claim a place in the NT squad, but for me its hard to imagine that Mark is up to the standard of the Scotland U21s.
All i'm saying is, don't focus your training on the aim of getting him to the U21 squad as it's a bit of a risk if you make it or not. The focus should be what training is best for you and your players in the long run.
