but im still waiting on some players who are no no pops in 8 weeks or so

You have quite a few players aged 25 or over stevie, they could take a while to pop. If it isn't these players that you are waiting to pop though then you could be right about them being less talented than you hoped.
2009-06-25 16:57:19
yeah its some of the 23 year olds who are taking forever , seems like a clear out is needed at the end of the season
2009-06-25 17:13:21
have you got a record of just how long they are taking?

If you can post us that info, together with the lads age and the current level of pace that will help give us a clearer picture and we can go about identifying the untalented lads that might need shifting.
2009-06-25 17:17:01
he should be able to see that by clicking on the player then clicking on pace (presuming plus of course)
2009-06-25 17:25:35
aye ive got plus :) . thats how im keeping track of things but i must say it just doesnt add up , this lad for instance is currently about 13 weeks with no pace pop whereas before he popped waaaay quicker

Ben Ferson, age: 23 club: AFC POLMONT, country: Scotland
value: 216 750 £, wage: 2 100 £
brilliant form, very good tactical discipline

weak stamina poor keeper
outstanding pace average defender
formidable technique poor playmaker
unsatisfactory passing formidable striker

must just simply be that they aint as talented now the squad is ageing a bit , think i may have to rebuild at the end of the season as its stupid to continue wasting valuable training time
2009-06-25 17:27:13
and another one who is 9 weeks of pace and not a thing

Medeni Altınsoy, age: 23 club: AFC POLMONT, country: Türkiye
value: 278 850 £, wage: 3 645 £
solid form, excellent tactical discipline
bookings:

excellent stamina tragic keeper
very good pace average defender
adequate technique magical playmaker
excellent passing poor striker

i know age has an effect on training but i didnt realise it would be this slow ?
2009-06-25 17:34:51
Jonathan Elphinstone: +1 Pace, +1 Defender
Angus Lakie: +1 Technique
Glen MacRobie: +1 Pace
Pat Risk: +1 Pace

Pace: (+3/0) = 3
Technique: (+1/0) = 1
Defender: (+1/0) = 1

I may be wrong but i am sure pace training is the slowest form of training on players aged 23+
2009-06-25 17:53:04
that would make sense then mate lol
2009-06-25 18:54:37
its the slowest form of training at any age, but the difference is emphasised at older ages.

Still, they shouldn't be soo slow.

Stevie, you sure you haven't trained anything else in the last 13 weeks? Do you remember how long the guy took to pop to outstanding?
2009-06-25 18:57:17
you should probably do what i do and keep a record of each and every week of training in an excel file. i've been doing it now for a couple years and i can see the popping trends, and also have a great idea on the extra training each of my lads has so i know how close they are to popping in every skill
2009-06-25 19:50:38
Stevie, if you have a player taking 5 weeks to pop in tech etc then he should really be popping in pace after 6 weeks, it's only an average of one week longer for pace training.

No offence mate but i can not believe that Ferson hasn't popped in 13 weeks. I was getting fairly regular updates from you when he was around 20/21. Is your head coach unearthly in pace?

Have you actually got a head coach? serious question by the way, i know of one or two users who hire new coaches and after a while are found hiding in the "no assignment" section.
2009-06-25 20:04:17
Ferson took 4 weeks to formidable pace and 5 weeks to outstanding pace. He reached outstanding pace at age 21.
2009-06-25 20:09:07
stevie hasnt been training pace for 13 weeks ally. I think from memory its been about 5 weeks
2009-06-25 20:14:31
That would explain things :)

Just earlier that he said 13 weeks with no pace pop, i guess i picked him up wrong.
2009-06-25 20:16:11
just to clarify , ive been on pace ALL season , i get the 13 weeks from the fact i had a few training pace last season at different times . i can see on ferson's graph no pops in the last 13 weeks , and im almost certain that they have all been pace weeks

Nicol Donleavy, age: 47wage: 19 035 £
club: AFC POLMONT, country: Scotland
brilliant coach

Training effectiveness:
unearthly of stamina solid of keeper
unearthly of pace unearthly of defender
brilliant of technique unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing formidable of striker

Thants my head coach , gotta say that training has been pretty poor since i got this coach on board . maybe its just coincedence but hey who knows lol

the lad Altinsoy was another who has had pace training every week , thats now 9 weeks and no pop . Sambado ( also 23 ) is now on 7 weeks and no pop . Podsialdo ( 23 ) is now 11 weeks and no pace pop . Skalazub ( 23 ) just popped after 10 weeks . my 21 year old keeper is now on 7 weeks and no pop

surely not all muppets ? or am i just an unlucky manager lol
