If you are training defence you need to try & get a head coach with as high a defence skill as you can afford. I just had a look on the transfer market & you can get a good/solid coach with unearthly defence for about £4300 a week. If you sold a few of your players you could afford that no problem.
You should also think about going to the Scotland newbie forum & reading the newbie guide that morsey created. There are lots of good tips in there & some video tutorials.
