Keep your fingers crossed for todays WC game :)
Our supporters “hope the team won`t bring them too much shame in this match”
But I believe we are not in the worst position to cause them some troubles.

A draw against Denmark, I'd say, was a so so result... Not very happy about that cause we had more chances to score 2nd goal, including the one where the ball was bouncing on the goal line ;)
We have a chance to beat them on their station for sure!
The next game - Belarus. We are favourites to win, so no excuses - we have to return from Minsk with 3 points. Unfortunately, our best MID just got injured, which complicates this a bit, but I am still positive and can't wait for the game!

I think the draw against Denmark is alright. even it always sucks when you know you are close to win and you don’t. Hopefully next time the luck will be on your side!
Head up and good luck in the next game :)

Thanks! Would be nice to repeat the history from 1997!
but I'd be very happy with any win ;)

This happens in football sometimes.
Shots at goal count for nothing.
Harsh result.

Harsh result.
Everyone has still got something to play for.

After the big fail in the first game against Belarus, we had a much better result this time :)

Hi Scottish Family!
First off, thanks again for the support you gave me last season—it’s been a real honour managing our U21 NT!
I’m running for re-election this season and would love the chance to continue working with our talented youngsters. I already dedicated all my advanced training spots for Scots, so we can have even more of them in the future!
I am sure that with all the experience and community support I am confident I can keep building on what we have started.
I’d really appreciate your vote again—let’s keep moving forward together!
Please vote here
All the best,
dmnk

I recently started thinking about how I can compare our team from the beginning of the previous season with the team we have now. Mostly because I am just curious, but also to see if we overall see improvement in skills of our players, where we can put some more effort in the training of our youngsters, etc. Let me share some of my calculations. I hope you find it interesting.
So to do that, I calculated some "scores" for our TOP 18 players both this and previous season(2GK, 7DEF, 5MID, 4ATT)
How is the score calculated?
Let's take GK as an example. Three skills for GK I care about are pace, goalkeeping and passing. I assigned them some weights: 2 for keeping, 1 for pace, and 0.5 for passing.
So GK with skills:
- goalkeeping 10
- pace 8
- passing 6
has: 10*2 + 8*1 + 0.5*6 = 31 points.
The best possible GK can have 18*3.5 points so 63 points.
Based on that GK from the example has a score: 31/63 * 100% = 49%
So these are the formulas I use for all the positions:
GK = (2*GK + PACE + 0.5*PASS) / 3.5*18
DEF = (2*DEF + 2*PACE + 0.5* TECH + 0.5* PLM + 0.25*PASS) / 5.25*18
MID = (DEF + PACE + TECH + PLM + PASS) / 5*18
ATT = (PACE + TECH + STR) /3*18
For each of the formations, I have calculated the average score so we can compare the overall strength without going into too much detail. You can also calculate a score for your player if you'd like to see if he is above average or not :)

Given that, for season 73(so the previous one) we had:
GK 56%
DEF 61%
MID 57%
ATT 62%
And now it looks as follows:
Season 74
GK 63%
DEF 64%
MID 55%
ATT 61%
That shows us that we are:
* more or less in a similar place comparing to the previous season
* our defensive formations are slightly better, while offensive are slightly worse
* all of these doesnt consider form, injuries etc. so it'll never show the full picture
Any questions, conclusions, thoughts? Is that interesting or not? I'll post some more thoughts later when I have some spare time and if I see any interest in this :)
See you later!
