Scotland – Greece 2–1
A very tight match, played against a well-organised Greek side with a cracking winger on their flank. I did my best to shut down his runs, even if it meant keeping things a wee bit less entertaining on the pitch. Managed it only partly, but in the end we came away with a result that puts us, for the moment, top of the group. Everything will come down to the last match against Sweden.
Milligan wasnae great today — form’s dipped and he never really threatened — but thankfully Law and Todd did their job, more than they have on other days! Come on lads, and mon the Scotland!

Very nice win.

I am doing my best Donaldo, but we need a plan for strikers, Todd and Nevis are getting older and older... Law is not so young anymore....

Imran, my new signing has a Scottish granny. Unfortunately that rule doesn't apply in sokker...

ahhahahahaha...What a pity! :-)

Scotland – Sweden 2–0
Another convincing win from the lads, which allows us to finish top of the group with Sweden, Finland and Greece, and qualify for the next stage of the European Championship. A solid performance from both defence and midfield, showing real strength, while up front Law and Todd did their job, scoring one goal each.
The present looks bright, but for the future we’ll need some stronger attackers to give these boys a proper handover — so keep training hard, my Scottish friends! What do you think Donaldo? I see Wallace and MacConnel growing up... let's see! And let's go Scotland!
Now we wait for the draw for the next stage.

Ok... against Czech Republic, number 6 of world seeding... It will be really difficult match ! Anyway let's go Scotland!!

MacConnel was the striker I thought would reach the top first. He was on course to a superstar.

I am persevering with my own Striker, Fullerton. He's making slow progress to the top.

Czech Republic – Scotland 2–1
With today’s result, our run in the European Championship comes to an end. The opponents deserved the win and were far more clinical, especially up front. Our lads gave everything, but Law is out of form, and Todd and Nevis struggled against a very strong defence.
We’ll finish the season with a few friendly matches. In any case, it’s been a great journey and we’ve had plenty of good moments along the way. Come on Scotland!

The Czech's are a very good team. Close match. Absolutely it's our forwards we lack strength in depth in the most.

England – Scotland 1–1.

A lively draw against our well-known neighbours. Both sides had plenty of chances they didnae make the most of, but in the end it felt like the fairest result for what we saw on the pitch. Law missed a penalty but made up for it in the final moments, knockin’ in the equaliser.
We’ll keep tryin’ a few experiments as we reach the end of the season. Make sure ye train your forwards, as Todd and Nevis will soon be too old tae keep playin’. Come on Scotland!

A season has passed very quickly. There have been several arcade matches, and I think I’ve achieved some good results with ‘your’ national team. Only a couple of defeats across the whole season, and we made it through the first two group stages of the European Championship before going out by a narrow margin against a strong Czech Republic side.

This season, with my club team, I won the Italian National Cup and also secured promotion by winning the second division, returning to Serie A. All of this has been done through a long-term training project based entirely on players coming through my own youth academy, which I’ve been building for several seasons now.

As the new season gets under way, we’ll have World Cup qualifiers with the national team, while at club level I’ll be facing Serie A and the Champions League, along with the new arcade-style International Cup. That’s a fair number of matches, to be honest.

So here’s my honest question: should I keep coaching the national team and push on for World Cup qualification, or is there someone among you, a native Scot, who’s motivated and has the time to dedicate themselves fully to the national team? Let me know what you think. I’m happy to carry on, but I’m also open to stepping aside if needed.

Thanks very much to everyone, and come on Scotland!

Difficult match today. I think you've had a good season in charge of Scotland team. It's not easy working with our much smaller group of players compared to the leading Nations. You fully deserve a chance to have a go with qualification season. We've been close to making it but fell short recently.

Personally I'm still on a break. But would be happy to offer support next season.

You can pm me if you think that's a good idea, and ideas on how that could work. It's going to be more intense with matches in sokker from next season. I think the new comp is a great addition.

Wait and see if any candidates step forward from the Scottish community.
