Thanks, that helps

Just got myself a Brilliant on £17,625

Replacing an Outstanding on £14,150

That's a nice enough price for a brilliant, could be considerably more.

There was two posts on Sokker Cymru by Piada and as i was looking for a new coach i thought i'd try it, i got lucky first time.

Here's the posts ....

My lil bro has this special technique pulling coaches... Set evrything on magical (left colom), keeping: very good and the rest of the right colom on Brilliant and u'll get a cheap Brilliant on..

(A dutch manager has one of the cheapest Brilliants on sokker because of this and my bro also has a very cheap one..) :p

Hope it works :p

I've just pulled the cheapest Magic coach in Belgium :p So the trick works with me :)

But, again, i can't assure u it'll work with you :p so don't come and kill me if it doesn't :p

(me again)
Worked for me, if anyone else tries it i'd be interested in the results.

Just tried it got a brilliant with a wage of £16 230, so he is replacing my brilliant youth coach who was costing me £20,800 a week
2007-07-04 21:54:49
Nice One, glad it worked for you.
2007-07-04 23:07:13
Don't know what to make of that, if it does work every time; heh. :)

edit: Thought it was worth trying just to find out. Did it twice, 2 brilliants one with 5 unearthly skills. Wages were 19,095 & 17,700.

The 17.7k brilliant has replaced a brilliant assistant who was on 18.4k, should take about 3.5 seasons to recover the monies just spent. :D

Then I start saving 700 quid a week. :D :D

(Wish I'd known about that earlier, spent a fortune on coaches over the seasons; as indeed have others. )

I tried it and got two incredible's with 15k and 16k wages.

Doesn't work all the time!

Interesting results so far though

4/6 brilliants all on reasonable wages..particulary Gordons.

Keep posting your results if anyone else is looking for a brilliant coach....or an expensive incredible :)

I tryed it 5 times, 3 times a incredible, 2 times an outstanding.

I stopped..:S

Ouch !

The important part is to keep the keeping skill as low as possible, that skill is most expensive.

Any combo with keeping low and the average brilliant will give you a good chance of low wage brilliant coaches to pick from.

But bottom line is its pretty random and frustrating and expensive and another thing injuries are a bloody pain, especially for the player I guess.

I think that the keeper skill will be the decider for most of these coaches, anything below solid won't be brilliant coach and anything above excellent will be too expensive
2007-07-04 23:50:08
yeah, i think the keepers skill may be the deciding factor too, also agree that in the end it all comes down to luck.

Injuries? Pah, i expect they hurt more when they're both NT player's :(
