Subject: Coaches and Wages

2007-08-21 17:48:47
I wasted 146 grand on this "trick". Never got anything worth keeping... even managed to scrape the bottom of the barrel by pulling a formidable and two outstandings.
2007-08-21 20:01:29
excellent keeper ist the best, because very good keeper is okay too and if it gets lower, then the coach may not be magical or brilliant any more and if it gets higher than formidable, then the coach will take a lot more wage per level (more than the levels below costet per level). So excellent may be the best one.

I used the trick a while ago but I wanted to pull an incredible so I had average incredible and keeper on very good and got this one:

here

Training effectiveness:
unearthy of stamina, very good of keeper
unearthy of pace, unearthly of defender
incredible of technique, unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing, unearthly of striker

Do not about the wage in pounds, sorry :D
2007-08-21 22:05:10
oh, your guys wage is: 21 960 £

here is a link to my coach if you wanna see him in your local currency ;)

my guy also has the advantage of being young, so won't retire (if they ever actually implement this) any time soon :)

im not complaining with this guy either. Spent over 400k to get a few new coaches tho - bye bye keeper training as of today. Now to the real game
2007-08-22 16:32:42
yea, your coach is better than mine :) But I am quite happy still, because I got my magical coach by accident and did not have to spend a lot of money for him. ^^

tried this technique again for getting in some new coaches...well, i upgraded the right side to all magicals and put the keeper to excellent/formidable, as i was going for a magical coach or 2...

pulled 2 handsome brilliants in the first 3 goes... should have stopped there, but decided to try another 3 times with not much better coming out.
didn't get my magical, but these 2 brilliants should be close to magical, and i have kept them to replace a couple of very cheap incredible assistant coaches.
it'll bump my wage bill by 14k pounds a week, but now i have:

sexy main coach:
Antti Kemppi, age: 45,
wage: 21 480 £
club: St Johnstone, country: Suomi
brilliant coach

Training effectiveness:
unearthly of stamina, excellent of keeper
unearthly of pace, magical of defender
unearthly of technique, unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing, outstanding of striker

Magical junior coach
3 x (high) Brilliant assistant coaches.

Tried to resist when i read your post but that lasted all of 90 seconds, just got this guy try 1 who i'll reject.

Martin Adie, age: 63,
wage: 18 900 £
club: Heartov Midlothian, country: Scotland
brilliant coach

Training effectiveness:
unearthly of stamina, solid of keeper
unearthly of pace, unearthly of defender
unearthly of technique, outstanding of playmaker
unearthly of passing, incredible of striker

No more money no more money cant afford it cant afford it, sorry just talking to myself there :)

I am thinking of getting rid of 2 of my assistants and replacing them with him
what are your views on this, it would be cost effective and i will probs upgrade my assistants soon when i decide what i am going to train long term, training pace at the moment and will train PM for a couple of weeks, i have 5 decent youths to pull within the next 5 wks and am going to wait and see what they are like before spending silly money on trainees
2008-03-18 19:56:43
Had a go myself to see if I could get a decent incred to replace the outstanding assistant. 9 goes and 70k later...

Best was a 13.5k... hardly amazing.

For such a good game the coach system is pretty farcical. Nice if you get lucky, for the rest of the time your left feeling shafted.

Of course I knew this beforehand but still couldnt resist a few tries. :P

Sticking with coach transfers now though, at least until pulling coaches is less like playing the national lottery.

Replace 2 outs with 1 brill?

You're much better off with the 2 outs. You can definitely get cheaper outstanding coaches though, possibly for not much if you're patient.
2008-03-18 20:12:53
Yeah, what Q says, dont go replacing two guys with one.

If you can afford it then sack your formidable asst and add the new guy.

If you cant, then let the new guy go.
Talking of coaches and wages.

Expenses on coach salaries amounted to 125 850 £

No wonder i'm struggling on the field :)
2008-03-18 22:32:14
Yikes.

Just under 75k last week although that will be nearer 83k this week. Still peanuts compared to your champagne and caviar guzzlers though. :)

I now have an incredible main coach, magical junior and assistants are 2x brill and 1x incred.

Suppose my coach pulling earlier wasn't as bad as I thought. 80k odds for a reasonably waged brill, probably similar to what I'd have paid on the transfers.

I'd still rather not know how much I've spent on coach pulling since I started though.
