this is a terrible game.
Very very boring.
BUT, scotland needs you :D
You get a player. You pick a name.
You find a club. You train yourself up and well, the ME does the rest.
Scotland has almost no players.
It takes 5 mins a day.
You'll get into the U18's NT side as soon as you join.
:)
Always train TT (Team Training), and always keep fitness at or above 90% when you train.
As soon as you join spend all your money on a PT level 1 (Personal Trainer)
Although, since you are traing TT, a PT is not needed, but nothing else to spend the money on.
I'm Rhys Quick.
:)
Join now, you know it doesn't make sense.

Shouldnt some money be kept aside... to buy TP after you PP or whatever?

I'm sure this is supposed to be funny, but I'm going to have to google why.

If you've just started I really have to stress some points.
First.
The game is incredibly dull......literally, login, set your training, and interact and logout. If you're up for the conferences go for it, but they are pretty dead.
Second.
Always train the same as team training, always train 2 or 3 of the same skills in a row on each day (a day stars at midnight, and finishes at 4.00 pm, with regards to training).....the help / training section explains this best.
This is to maximise your training efficiency.
The skills that matter most in the current Match Engine are:
Tackling
finishing
technique
dribbling (like technique in this game.......helps you go past defenders)
stamina (stops you losing fitness so fast, funnily enough)
positioning
then the rest are fairly insignificant.
Game vision does not work properly
Short passing is useless
Heading is useless
Long shots, only good if you are hot shit in them
Crossing does nothing
Maybe long passes are ok, but I never trained that.
But this may be changed in future.
:)

You've nearly sold the game to me, but Im getting negative vibes about it.
hmmm... from the training tips (ie no passes, crosses, long balls, long shots or even headers...), sounds like most of the goals will go something like this:
1) get your tackles in and win the ball
2) go on a mazy dribble down the length of the pitch
3) shoot and score.

... and with speed not being mentioned you can prolly just walk it past everyone.
Sound like exciting matches dont they. :)

he he he, really sign up.
It's really really.....pants!
:D
Speed doesn't do too much either.....get it up to about 10 and your fine. (max skill for anything is 20)
Thing is, not being a fan / supporter I can't watch any of the games.
Our manager uploads them to various sites where you can watch them, but unfortunately the ME is so rubbish, after 5 mins you lose all interest.
:)
Only reason I never quit was because it literally takes up 5 mins a day......(if that)
Everyone has high tackling, and since this is more dominant than dribbling, most of the games have few goals.......one has to wait for the players with high defending but relatively low stamina to get tired, lose fitness, causing their skills to reduce.
At this point you sub on your mazy dribblers (that will include me soon) and voila.....goal city.
But again, without fan you can't watch shit.
Anyway, they introduced NT teams early this season.
We lost 6-2 to England which was an amazing result, since England have a pretty tidy side, and we only had 5 semi alright players. (moi included....)...ok, 3 shit hot players, me included, and 2 other people who are ok and the rest of the team is made up of monkeys......
So, join up, and start training. You know you don't want to!!
he he
Oh, and we beat cyprus in our first qualifier for the WC because they couldn't field a full team.
Portugal next, the best side in Footstar, who actually lost to Finland in their first game.
I suspect we shall lose by double figures galore.
I may opt to sit out that game.
