In response to the vast increase in the number of players over the past season as well as the difficulty of running BuzzerBeater from Boston while the servers are in Zurich, for season 4 we are moving to brand new servers based in Boston.

The final game played on the servers in Zurich will take place at 23:00 CET on Monday, when the hosts Brasil play the United States for the Americas championship. At approximately 1:30 CET on Tuesday (a few minutes after the conclusion of the game), we will be shutting down operations in Zurich and moving everything to Boston. The offseason processing will take place during this downtime as well, and we will open up the new site in Boston when everything has been properly installed and the offseason processing is complete.

Our goal is to re-open within 18-24 hours of downtime. It is possible that we could complete everything much more quickly, and sadly it is also possible that there might be unforeseen delays. Once we have shut things down in Zurich, the front page of BuzzerBeater will contain information about the status of our server move and our best guess for when everything will be back up and running.

Thanks for your great support, because without it, we would never have needed to make this move. We hope that the new servers will enable you to keep on enjoying BuzzerBeater for many seasons to come!

How does the draft work?

Any ideas what I should be doing?

How do you select a "birthday". The dropdown menu has no dates to select from. Without them the sign-up page just keeps telling me (in red) to select a date.

Select year first, then month.

Then the page sort of *blinks* then you should be able to select a date...6, 27 etc.

That's how it worked for me

Ah, it was blank when I did it, then the page reloaded and it displayed the days.....

So it worked pretty well first time for me....

this game looks complicated. do you have to know anything about basketball to do well cos i know nothing lol

When the month is selected the dates fails to load and the page fails to refresh. Probably a glitch related to traffic or something.

I'll try again later in the evening.

The site is definitely having problems, and they are moving servers from Zurich to Boston tomorrow, so goodness knows how long the site will be down for.

I know nothing about basketball either, which will make the game rather challenging I would imagine. But life is all about learning eh?

I've done the page three times now, date has always failed to load until I change the month. As I never put in my real DOB in any of these forms that wasn't a problem for me.

Also put in my location as Aberdeen and it defaulted to England? But final confirmation page allowed me to change country subject to their approval. Just waiting for acceptance now.

I don't remember getting an e-mail, so don't forget your login details, might want to mail them to yourself on here.......was just lucky I remebered mine, well, robo form did the username, and my password was 1 I use for a lot of on-line stuff.
