Subject: Barcelona

Just thought that i would share a wee story of a proud yet very jealous dad.

Barca are staying/training in St Andrews this week(as they did last year) whilst they play Hibs and Dundee Utd in friendly matches.

Now, my 9 year old daughter plays for St Andrews Soccerettes U11's and the mum of one of her team-mates is on the "looking after Barca committee" based at the University and she's managed to organise a training session for the girls with Barcelona on Friday evening!....No space for Dads though :(

Still, i'm so happy for her, she's been a season ticket holder at Tynecastle for 4 seasons so she deserves a bit of good news at last :)

let her ask all the autographs for you :p

She's also still got her ticket from the Hearts v Barcelona match last season, she'll get that signed too.

Fantastic day for her, she won't forget that in a hurry. :)

oh and your "looking after Barca committee" reminds me of something funny that happened over the weekend.

I popped over to China (Guangzhou) to go to this waterpark/amusement park over the weekend, and stayed at a lovely brand new 5 star hotel. The strange coincidence is that the Chelsea squad were due to stay at the hotel for the first leg of their Asia tour, but sadly they were only checking in the day after i left.
Anyways, i was rummaging through the in-room customer guide book and noticed that for assistance customers can call an "Express Service" or an "Escort Service" hotline. Now being rather confused by this i went down to reception to ask about this Escort Service.
The lady behind the desk informs me that the Escort Service is only for the Chelsea Squad!!! the swines :P

but after a bit more interogation, i find out that the Escort Service hotline is to contact the Escort Team, who are the people "escorting" Chelsea whilst in china, a bit like your "looking after Barca committee" i'd guess.

Samaras is injured just now, just had an operation so will be out for a few weeks yet. When he's fit, he will definitely be a starter for Celtic in every game.
