Thought i'd share this with you, i know at least one person (non Scot) who will be interested anyway ;)
Last month my 10 year old daughter won the Scottish Mini Mons championships (Judo)
It means that she is the Scottish champion for under 12's of those graded 9th mon and under at U44kg
Last November, a week after her 10th birthday she actually took bronze in the U12 Scottish Open and she's gunning for gold next time.
Paige is in the orange belt in the pic.

To avoid any confusion, this is not runrig, it's her wee sis :)

That's interesting. You have the same surname (McLennan) as my Aunt in Aberdeen who got the name by marriage (nee Adams) and her husband, Ian, (long deceased), was a blackbelt in Judo.
That is interesting. I have no relations that i know of that far north but i suppose if you trace the name back far enough then who knows? maybe a gene or two kicking about somewhere.
You're still here.....it must be raining :)
You're right about kids and pc's etc. Playstations and wii's etc have a lot to answer for.

Yip, morning noon and night we were all out with a ball of some size or another :)
Even Santa was on orders to bring football strips/boots/balls etc every year. Along with Oor Wullie and The Broons that was all i ever wanted. A bike every few years was nice aswell.
I checked out my old 'hood recently with the new google map thingy and the massive park by my old house is now like a jungle, grass 6ft+ high. It used to hold two full size pitches and two 5- aside pitches when i was a nipper.
Sad

where i grew up mate , we have 4 full size pitches a 10 min walk away , but we chose to play on a roundabout just 2 mins from our house . jumpers for goalposts but the size was perfect !
my neighbour even had a foghorn so that we knew it was 5pm ( dinner time ) or when we all had to come home which was always late as we had lamposts all the way round the roundabout lighting it up perfect

One of my Dads best mates was a McLennan, he was from Elgin.
Congrats.
Not trying to steal your thunder but we are just back from watching our son play at Hampden. My sons team won a trip there through the Kits for Kids thing in the Daily Record.
