Thats really suprised me I have to say, what about Champs League dosh?
i think its 10m tv cash - we kinda rely on it , rangers missed out recently and it really hurt us
totally agree - but we cant get the money from sky :(
gers get 50000 every home game and celtic 60000 - its just the fact that tv money is shocking up here

That really is poor, and now I understand why you want to come down to our Premiership.
I do not think it would be right though if you did. The Welsh teams should be in our leagues either though imo. If the Welsh teams can play here then you can hardly argue that you guys can't, I guess it down to the fact you have a Professional League and the Welsh league is largely Semi-Pro is it not?

i honestly couldnt tell you why the welshies are in there ? id guess that the established teams ( cardiff, swansea, wrexham ) were possibly in before a welsh league was formed , but then again im probs making that up lol - its just what i always believed
i dont think we are wanted as we are a real threat , sure we have some idiotic supporters on both sides of the old firm but in time and with the money going about there is no reason why rangers or even celtic couldnt win the league

You would have more chance than my team...West Ham, we'll be in the conference at this rate. Never before has a club been run so poorly. Oh actually Leeds have beaten us to that title. I will change it to...at the moment we are the worst run club in GB!
lol :)
that could all change if the takeover is completed - the hammers have a decent squad there and a pretty good management team , all they need is time and someone who has a clue in charge of the club

If we get somebody who has a clue in charge of the club....it will be a first. ;)
Its funny I always used to feel sorry for the other teams in Scotland as you could only ever see Celtic or Rangers winning the title. Now the Premiership is the same with Man Utd or Chelsea. I don't like it as it is boring. I see Man Utd's cycle at the top being about to run out though.
I still get more enjoyment watching kids football these days than Premiership football if I am honest.....bunch of prima donners.

The teams were just too good for the Welsh leagues. Newport County play in English leagues too (Conference South I think)
It's wages as much as transfer fees. Clubs like Chelsea and Man City go out and give £50K plus per week to their fringe players, so even a player like Keane would need to take a wage drop or a Dermot Desmond subsidy to go to Celtic.
Celtic have a very small debt now of around £1m, and will be looking to positive equity by year end, which is extremely sensible, but the difference is TV money. They'll still have to spend in January by the looks of things, although it will be interesting to see if Boyd is as lethal against a proper defence.

heard a wee story about celtic yesterday mate , i was told that the end of season accounts will show celtic to be 12 million in debt - i dont know how true this is but the source is pretty reliable
as for boyd , as long as he gets a chance he will score , oh and as long as he has a strike partner lol he aint any use for 4-5-1

it better be 4-5-1 then :P
Celtic would have to go further in debt to buy Keane, which sucks.

if im honest Evanssssssssss if i was a celtic fan id be crapping myself just now lol

anything can happen? yeah, we can either finish 4th in the champions league and 3rd in europa league, or go through to the knockout stages... scottish football is shockingly bad, and getting worse :(
Stevie - I'd give the story more credence if your source knew how they'd be in debt to the tune of £12m. Although attendances have been down, season tickets have been relatively stable and are up on last year, and operating profit has been rising, with bank debt reduced to £1.5m, so it's difficult to see where a debt of £12m could come from.
