Subject: its time to go it alone

as you all know i have decentish php skills and i have been pondering over this for quite a long time but today i finally thought enough is enough. From my anguish at Hattrick and my anguish in here i am going to sit down and devise a football management game with the best from both these games and of course my own twisted humour.

This will take a wee while to code up from scratch and i will be looking for people to help beta it and of course add ideas etc. I reckon within 6 months we will be good to go.

Ideas right now are:

hooligan element where fans can cause havoc to other teams
home advantage
manager bribes
fights
pubs
woman
bling

we are thinking of having a manager side of things and a player side of things as well but thats needing ironed out big time.
Anyway stay tuned - i hope i can see this through.

p.s. i will still be playing this game for yonkies yet so im going nowhere but i will be stopping coding the dream team and ntdb from now on to concentrate on this little project.

there were a few belgians also with the idea of creating an own game :)
Think they quitted doing it quite sooon though :) GL :)

its a tough task mate. However i have the benefit of already doing a few mmporg games. Although they arent the same there is a lot of the coding and layout you can use. The big thing is that when it starts it will start with all countries - rather than just italian :D

lmao i just looked at how to do the game engine. Hmmmmm while the php is possible for me in a few months this actionscript stuff is goobldeeeegoook. Might have to give playing about with that for a few months before i go any further with the php.
