Subject: Celtic
Yep i know i dont support Celtic but the loan signing would annoy me as there relativley big wages and have no value apart from filling gaps.I wouldnt be suprised to see Celtic go like Rangers financially now as they must have lost millions on Mowbrays signings and the new manager whoever it will be willprobably sell the current players as im sure he will see they are not good enough.
That 'manager' unfortunately won't be Lennon, due to the embarassing result on Saturday in Hampden.. I couldn't believe Ross County beat us 2-0, but to be honest they were the better team. At one point County had 8 shots to Celtic's 2, and Celtic didn't even have a shot on target until perhaps 75 minutes in.
Has to be :\
*edit* Except Keane, Rasmussen and Braffheid
Then again, Keane is a loan signing.

Exactly Keane is not staying......the Scottish League seems much weaker than it used to be imo. The big 2 always had some good players a few years back. Gascoigne springs to mind amongst others. Now they have players like Samaras who was awful in England.
i think its been a two way thing with England mate. England have rocketted Scotland have plummetted. Just look at how many Scots are playing in either the premiership or championship now.
Even the scottish players dont want to play in Scotland anymore

Basically the SPL is the rubbish dump to those who failed in England.
Its a shame, and I mean that even as an Englishman. I am not sore like you Scots can be about us. :p
I used to slate the Scots league saying it was dull as only 2 teams would ever win the Scottish Prem, to be fair the English Prem is just as bad lately. It may change soon with the Man City money and I think Arsenal will be strong enough soon (if not this season). Liverpool should get their act together again at some stage soon I hope.
Then theres the mighty West Ham......we'll .......oh who am I kidding......might just....with some luck avoid relegation. lol

I disagree with your comments about the Scottish league being weaker, a weak league means no challenge to the old firm. This season we'll have a non old firm cup winner, that's good for starters.
Celtic aren't guaranteed a champions league spot yet with Dundee Utd still breathing down their necks so looks to me like the league is looking stronger.
When the Gascoignes and Larsson's were here 2 teams won everything every season, maybe that's changing now.
The O/F are looking weaker than before and now could be the time for somebody to catch them. What's bad for the Old Firm is good for the rest of us.`

Well thats kind of what I was referring to "The old firm getting weaker". They used to have some great players and thats changed lately.....why?
PS having an open league where more than 2 teams can win it is an amazing thing for spectators, Rangers are miles clear at the moment though.....

im still up for them to get tae fook down south. I honestly believe the Scottish Leagues would be better off without them
They wouldn't mate. They bring the TV money up for you, without them and their huge fan bases you would getter booger all. imo of course, but it makes sense doesn't it?
Not really true. Celtic and Rangers get 10 X the tv revenue of the offer clubs. When they are involved its not an even share.
An even share of less might work out the same or more.
However, personally I think the OF benefit the SPL. Its more of a bounce when playing the bigger teams. Im talking Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs as the bigger teams. Dundee Utd & Dundee are special for Aberdeen as its a 'derby'. Utd could be a classed as a big Scottish team I suppose. In terms of success but not fan base.

yeah but you wonder how many people might actually start supporting their local teams if the OF had to piss off down south every 2 weeks.
I just cannot see it happening....sorry. The English clubs would surely oppose it if it meant less places in the Premiership for English sides possibly?
