I just cannot see it happening....sorry. The English clubs would surely oppose it if it meant less places in the Premiership for English sides possibly?
2010-04-13 13:39:31
absolutely agree with you on that one.

Lets turn it on its head. If West Ham get relegated, why don't they apply for SPL entry and compete for a Champions League slot!

Lets go mad.

They would need to start off a division or two down as the OF have proposed to do. Also their crippling debts would burst them as soon as the silly EPL money stopped keeping them afloat.

Personally i think the OF are not allowed into the EPL as they would become to big and in 5 or 6 years be taking a top 4 spot IMO.

They would become 2 very big EPL Clubs for sure. Fan bases are huge.

Rasmussen and Braffheid
??????????????????????????????????????????

mate both have been utter tripe , Braffheid has been a joke and stated instantly he wouldnt stay - big dunc scored 2 tap-ins and has vanished since then lol

i agree mate , within a few years they would be pushing for europe at least

money makes the world go round and the "poorer" prem teams still rake in at least 15x what scottish teams do per season in tv cash alone

I agree that the Old firm teams would do really well and probably be challenging for a top 4 slot, certainly top 8 both sides.

Then again it should not be allowed, if we do then we are on our way to a European spin off league imo.

PS I would never want West Ham to play in the Scottish leagues.....why? I suppose tradition more than anything else. We are a mediocre Prem side. Potentially we could be better than that though.

i cant see it happening anyway mate but................... Cardiff and Swansea are 2 very good reasons why it CAN happen :)

2010-04-14 00:03:32
They have been there years though haven't they? Plus Wales do not exactly have a Professional League do they?

Scotland do and thats the big difference imo.
2010-04-14 10:31:33
It shouldn't be allowed. But as money talks, you never know what could happen. Certainly won't happen anytime soon. Personally I don't think it will happen but it will be talked about again and probably again.

so you would accept teams like linfield , glentoran , institute and coleraine as the irish league aint Professional ? lol

the arguements could rage forever wdp m8 , but i cant see it happening - a part of me would love it for the cash and glory ( eventually ? ) but the other part of me doesnt want it to happen

They played national finals in Cardiff as well whilst Wembley wasn't 'active'.

They won't cross the Irish Sea to play in the Conference North/South..

LOL I can't see the Irish sides making Prem sides can you? :p

As for the two old firm sides - a lot of English People support a Scottish side as well as their English teams....purely as armchair fans I know but - I guess what I am saying is that it wiould create a whole new set of dynamics down here which I cannot see going down well.
2010-04-15 16:24:54
hell no mate LOL

just making the point that they have a guff league also so they could claim to get in :)
