Subject: Stirling Albion FC

I heard that everyone can pay 200 pounds and maybe play for this team.

I send e-mail to this club, and they tell me that new selection is on Christmas.

So anyone know more about this ?

Stirling Albion raised £6,000 via this scheme and have now whittled numbers down to 11 players. The plan now is to play a match against a non league team and decide if any of the 11 players will receive contracts.

Not sure when this match is planned for but must be soon.

that is quite clever - Clyde have just been throwing open their doors every season and build a new team of nobodys each season in the hope of selling one on for an almighty profit. quite poor actually

if anyone had been any good they would of been snapped up by a youth team some where in the past cant see them finding a diamond its not like the 60s when the scouting was hit and miss

Don't think they are looking for a quick wheel and deal with this. There was a few juniors / Ams that showed up.

Think the point was they have only 7 senior players for next season and they wanted to get in some "squad" players for free (made £200 per player). Decent wee idea.
