Just to say that the positive about playing Ferguson is that it will allow Hartley to attack more, he's twice the player going forward than when he's playing the holding role.

Here's a thought for you all though...

Scott Severin instead of Wee Bazza .

At the end of the day. Its night.

And also, it don't really matter who plays. As an Aberdeen fan Id like Anderson to get his chance, but its not the right time to go messing with the defence, yet.

Ferguson is Mr Safe Pass. I agree he's not the best if your setting out to attack. But the French game is going to have to be a battle if we are to win. this should actually suite Ferguson's game. Id have McFadden on the bench to start with, put him on later when they are tiring. Hopefull we can keep the game tight until then.

But, Im not getting excited about who plays or not. Its the overall team that matters. Walter Smith is a good manager. Its about belief also, its going to be tough but if we limit their space and let them know were here for a battle then Im sure they won't like it. If we allow them to play their football, we can't match that.

We know were not the best skillfully. If we show what were capable of with spirit, organisation and never give up attitude. There's always a chance.

More importantly.
Its the start drinking at 7am. Get on the bus. listen to your mates belt out classic scottish karaoke. Mare drink. Getting behind the team, 100%. Even if its just a throw in in your own half. Sing the songs. Soak up the atmosphere. Everyone needs to pull together especially in these big games.

Win, loose or draw. Back to the pub.

Good thinking there auldreekie. Hartley certainly is better going forward.

As for Severin? A good player, but it's possibly not the right time to throw him in - he's played a few games from the bench and will probably do the same this time.

Anderson is injured mate - couldnt play on Saturday if he wanted to

Dandy - great post mate - this is the sort of balanced view we need.

Hope it's gonna be a good game, although it'll certainly be tough.

Jeeez, it is only France after all... ;)

Anderson isn't 100% fit. He's had that hip injuries for a long time now.

I wouldn't play him even if he was fully fit. Walter Smith won't either. I would wait until we were forced into making changes in defence.
