Quite a rash conclusion that.
Have you got a rash in which case living down might be giving you some kind of English infection. Id watch out for that!

Italy 2-0 Scotland

Fire the ball into the box for the lanky striker to score from a header. Sounds like my game plan.

For me Id have had Boyd in from the start and just let then have the ball at the back. They normally play a slow build up system. Its in the final third you have to watch for the dive or quick pass. Keep it tight man marking wise.

If Boyd had been there we could have had the fire it into the box option with out own Toni potentially scoring from headers. We were never going to carve them open much. Having Miller running is great but what he's doing when he gets the ball. Holding it up, miising a chance. Well Boyd might have scored. Their own defence would hold it up most often (slowly building from the back) Seemed a pointless strategy to me. And it was very predictable as we usually do that away from home. Nothing wrong with some predictability as long as its effective.

Absolutely no disgrace loosing to probably the best team in the world.

But enough about Andorra.

That made me laugh!

That would be the team who thinks they are the best in the world.

Willie Miller called the current Engerland problem correct when he said they are starting to suffer like Scotland did a generation ago. Too many foreign players in their league not enough engerlish 'talent' getting a game at their top level. And so not getting the same level of experience is in previous generations.

Not going to affect you guys as much as it did us as you still have a massive amount more players to pick from. But will still have an affect.

Becasue money is tighter in Scotland now. Teams are reverting slowly back to having more Scots in their team. What a radical and correct approach to take!

Youth is the future as somebody else probably noticed before.

Thing is a lot of that England team can play for their clubs well above the level they have been showing in recent games at national level.

McLaren? He got some bad press at Middlesborough for lacking man-management skills. I never understood the appointment myself, likening the FA to the boardroom at St James'.. clueless!

Thing is a lot of that England team can play for their clubs well above the level they have been showing in recent games at national level.

Thing is, at their clubs they are surrounded by better (foreign) players, making it a damn sight easier to perform at a higher level for their club.

At national level they are surrounded by a team of under-achievers, with no real quality to pull them up by the boot-straps.

Man, you are a harsh critic of scottish "football".

As you are well aware, I was talking about the English team....but if you want, I can easily go into a lengthy rant concerning the problems at the grass-root level in Scottish football.

I doubt you'd have time to read and ingest my theories or possible solutions, though.

Aye, I was well aware, and at half two in the morning after a gallon and a half of ale it seemed pretty funny. In the cold light of day, it's clear that it isn't.

Most of your 2am posts are pretty funny, don't stop drinking on our account. :)

I'm actually stopping boozing after tonight. A mate is visiting me in mid may and I'll booze when he's here, but otherwise, I'm not boozing until glasto.

I've vowed to stop peeving as well. At least until tomorrow.

*cracks yet another tinny*

Well, after this one... ;)
