We are Winners:)

OK. Get this straight.

The team that Artmedia are playing tonight is called Rangers FC. They are from Glasgow.

Do you call Everton FC, Liverpool? Or Tottenham Hotspur, London?

Now to your point - yes, Artmedia are winners, they won their domestic league last season - congrats to them.

They have played very wll to get to the Champons League, including a marvellous win over Celtic FC (incidentally, also from Glasgow - are you getting them both confused?) and a wonderful away win in Porto.

However, they also lost heavily in Glasgow previously, and as a Rangers fan, I hope they do so again.

sorry..my mistake-GLASGOW
2005-10-19 19:02:55
LOL! I didn't take the Slovaks as being a backward people!

Well, you learn something new everyday, I suppose...

To be fair, there full names are Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers.

hows your knowledge on the Slovakian teams?
2005-10-19 19:14:50
Neither of them have the words Glasgow in their names.

My knowledge of Slovakian teams is poor, but if someone pointed out that I'd made a mistake, I'd be sure not to make it again.

Rangers should have won that game - the 'keeper was good, yes, but the 'Gers strikers were abysmal.

But, them's the breaks....
