Contract Tester / Test Analyst with a background in software application testing and recent experience of testing within investment banking/capital markets is required by our client, an internationally recognised and hugely successful testing and outsourcing consultancy.
The successful software tester will have proven experience in improving software quality and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of financial markets specifically trading systems. They will have experience in working in a distributed software testing environment and have experience with managing testing in an iterative development process. They will have strong communication, presentation and customer interfacing skills and willing to be accountable for the quality of the deliverables.
As a software tester, this testing role will include:
* Preparation of Test strategy and Test Plan documents.
* Authoring and Execution of Test cases.
* Bug posting and documentation of bug reports.
* Root Cause Analysis of defects.
* Preparation and Maintenance of test artifacts like WBS, Test Summary Reports, etc.
* Internal Project Reporting.
Preference will be given to software testers that have gained client based experience in the UK or the USA although candidates without this experience will also be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a leading test consultancy on a long term stable project with extensions likely to be offered to the right candidate.

Non male, per niente.. alla fine nel settore web/media/comunicazione le opportunità più remunerative (e maggiori come numero) sono legate alla programmazione. E la nicchia mobile va forte ultimamente.
Quando ero giovanissimo ho fatto da tester per H3G e t'assicuro che provare le nuove applicazioni sui telefonini per qualche mese è stato interessante.. certo poi fa presto a diventare monotona come attività, ma per fare gavetta non era male.
Interessante è stato testare gli MMS quando ancora non erano in voga, ci si mandava MMS tra di noi e poi con gli sniffer di rete dovevi catturare il messaggio andare a codificare.

Ciao a tutti :=) Ieri ho fatto un colloquio per un lavoro come cameriere. Ebbene, non l'ho mai fatto e l'ho specificato. Mi hanno chiesto il codice fiscale e parlato di inps (mi pare un accenno veloce a dei buoni, ma non ho ben capito). Il locale è un bar/pizzeria. Qualcuno ha avuto esperienze di questo tipo? Sapreste dirmi cosa sono quei buoni e cosa c'entra l'inps? :)

Ieri mi hanno dato il benservito. Mi hanno chiamato, per pagarmi gli arretrati e per avvisarmi che i turni di venerdì sera e sabato sera venivano cancellati (tralasciamo il fatto che mi avevano chiesto disponibilità a fare anche la mattina del sabato e quella della domenica). Ho lavorato presso questo bar/ristorante/pizzeria. I turni andavano dalle 10.30 del mattino alle 15/16 e dalle 18.30 all'1.
Avevano un metodo di pagamento tutto loro:
MATTINA
LUN/VEN -> 25€
SAB/DOM -> 30€
SERA
LUN/VEN -> 30€
SAB/DOM -> 35€
Perchè dico tutto loro? Perchè, a rigor di logica, lavorando un'intera giornata, avrei dovuto prendere rispettivamente 55€ e 65€, invece, prendevo 45€ e 50€. Questo indipendentemente dalle ore lavorate.
Ora, nonostante abbia fatto DI TUTTO e subìto parecchie cose, mi ritrovo senza niente. Mi sono lamentato più volte, con i conoscenti, del clima e della paga, però quando la perdi, ti accorgi che comunque era pur sempre un lavoro e qualcosa portavi a casa.
Specifico che non sono stato mandato via per mancanze o altro, anzi ho ricevuto complimenti anche dai clienti, ma perchè sono l'ultimo arrivato ed il lavoro è calato. Ovviamente devono dare la precedenza a chi c'era già prima (nel mio caso un signore che è 20 anni nell'azienda e per carità, lo capisco anche).
