It was a sad final, but I think that Italy can still be proud of what they've shown...if Portugal won the penalties against Spain, then I'm sure Italy would win the final.
also, which is sad to say, I think that if Chiellini wouldn't start for Italy vs Spain, then Italy would win the game...Giorgio looked out of form at the WC, especially physically, while Balzaretti was very impressive in almost every game, both in defence and offence
I don't know what Prandelli sees in Thiago Motta...I never liked this player and I think I never will. He is just so...neutral that it's hard to say anything good or bad about him. I would have preferred Nocerino, or even Palombo in his place. I don't know what Cesare wanted to achieve with bringing Motta to the pitch in the final, it's a mistery for me.
I'm also a bit sad about Marchisio, he looked afraid to step up and try to change the game vs Spain. Pirlo was extremely well covered and Marchisio and De Rossi should've taken the offensive actions on themselves and try to get near the box, try to make a crucial pass or shot. De Rossi did what he could, Marchisio looked too afraid for most of the time. A real pitty, especially as he is my favourite Italian player...

Non ho esperienze dirette, ma lo scempio del Circo Massimo non credo che sia molto dissimile da quanto accada nei concerti pop. Che schifo però...

The real bug was the attitude in the final. You cannot imitate Spain if you are Italy. You cannot imitate Spain if your players are done. You should be honest, defend in eight and counterattack in three.
Yeah, I know. Bad, boring, disappointing for a finalist.But the only way (and a real way) to beat Spain.

PISA Sono 220 gli automobilisti pisani a rischio multa per essere entrati senza autorizzazione sui lungarni di Pisa giovedì scorso, la sera della semifinale dell’Italia vittoriosa sulla Germania. Si tratta di 200 che hanno percorso in auto un solo lungarno, mentre altri 20 hanno raddoppiato la contravvenzione percorrendoli tutti e due e dunque totalizzando in pochi minuti una multa da 148 euro. Per il momento la loro posizione è al vaglio della polizia municipale, probabilmente alla ricerca di un escamotage che possa graziarli, anche se non è detto che sia possibile, visto che la trasgressione è immortalata dalle telecamere ai varchi. Da segnalare che in totale le casse del municipio avrebbero compiuto in una serata un incasso di più di sedicimila euro. Da segnalare che domenica scorsa il comando dei vigili aveva deciso di rendere inattivi gli accessi ai lungarni per evitare di penalizzare i tifosi in caso di vittoria degli azzurri. Ma sappiamo tutti com’è finita.
