è uno dei migliori CC italiani (De Rossi) , ma concretamente parlando... non hai mai vinto una ceppa e in europa non è che si sia distinto
nel mondiale ha giocato fino alla gomitata contro gli USA e poi non ha visto piu il campo (sostituito dal miglior Gattuso di sempre)

borini mi piace di più.. ma non ha la tecnica degli altri due..

Dunque.... Per me porterà 7 centrocampisti e 5 attaccanti.
Alla luce delle dichiarazioni di Prandelli i convocati potrebbero essere:
Centrocampisti - De Rossi (Roma), Diamanti (Bologna), Giaccherini (Juventus), Marchisio (Juventus), Thiago Motta (Paris St. Germain), Nocerino (Milan), Pirlo (Juventus).
Attaccanti - Balotelli (Manchester City), Cassano (Milan), Destro (Siena), Di Natale (Udinese), Giovinco (Parma).
Poi sulla formazione è ancora tutto da vedere... Secondo me alla fine Prandelli opterà per il 5-3-2 (o se preferite, chiamatelo 3-5-2). Non è esattamente il suo modulo preferito, ma visto che comunque c'è un blocco juve, probabilmente alla fine il modulo sarà questo.

temo di no, anche se la rosa ci si adatta alla grande. abbiamo fatto tutte le qualificazioni con 4 dietro e il rombo...

non significa nulla, batistuta è stato il miglior centravanti degli ultimi 20-30 anni eppure fino a che è rimasto a firenze ha vinto meno di nicola amoruso..

1. De Ceglie's chances would have been much higher if Italy NT played 3-5-2 just like juventus. fact is that Italy normally plays a 4-men-line defense and in that defensive wingback position Criscito is far better than De Ceglie in tackles, positioning and marking. probably even Balzaretti is better than De Ceglie in that role.
I agree, DeCe is not really the best in defence, but he isn't worse than Balzaretti in my opinion - not in the form that he has shown in last months. Everyone has his opinions though, and I guess that Prandelli deserves to have his own as well ;-)

I think Prandelli has chosen to rely on Balotelli as the first heavy striker, with a faster and creative man aside like Cassano, Giovinco or Di Natale. the fact is that we have no real heavy striker backup, and everything will depend on Balotelli's head - which is not properly his strong point :D
if I was Italy's opponent I'd try to continuously provoke Balotelli to cause him to react and be sent off. I think the old foxes from the other countries have built their tactics yet.
Yes, it can be a real problem - I can imagine Balotelli getting a red card any moment in any game and there won't be anyone to play in his position. I know that Borini and Destro are great, but they are very different from Barwuah...:p
3. his position is three-quarter, the offensive midfielder which is the high corner of the diamond midfield. so he's a natural alternative for Montolivo. I think he could do much better than Montolivo, and so do think many others here in the forum. but I fear that in the end he will be left home.
If Prandelli decides to use Montolivo and Giovinco, which is very possible, then Diamanti might stay at home...but he might also decide that Giovinco will be used on Cassano's position, which would be better in my opinion.
4. Verratti is a 19 years old crystal-pure talent.
I agree, he will be left home in the end, but this first experience is just the building-up of a very long NT career for him. he started as an offensive midfielder, but gradually shifted to Pirlo's role of playmaker.
his strong points are long-range vision, long-range passing, masterclass technical skill and ball control. his weaknesses are tackling (but he compensates a lot with great sense of positioning) and the fact he's short, just 165 cm if I'm not wrong.
it seems that Juve wants him badly, as an obvious backup for Pirlo. probably growing up with Pirlo is the best for him too. he strongly supports Juventus since he was a kid, so the business has great chances to be made in the end.
he has definetly the skill to become a world top player. let's hope he has Del Piero's head, too. :D
I've seen him in Pescara games 3 times and he is really impressive, would love to see him as Pirlo's substitute at Juve. He isn't too big, but from what I've seen he is better at 'standing on his feet' that for example Giovinco. And being short has some advantages as well :).
I always bought him in Football Manager, together with Destro and Immobile he took my Cremonese side to win Serie A and Champions League...:D
I would also like to see Insigne in Juve, but it won't be easy since he is owned by Napoli...but maybe if Juve bought the 50% of Giovinco from Parma and exchanged Giovinco for Insigne? :p

if Juve means to buy that 50% from Parma, there are only 2 possibilities:
- wants to keep Giovinco in the roster for the next four seasons at least
- wants to get to Cavani
Juve has good possibilities for the next market, since Krasic and Elia will surely go away, probably Matri will be given for good money too, and has got good exchange options like Marrone, Immobile and that 50% of Giovinco. should they sign Verratti and Pogba, they would need to get at least one star man for both attack and defence. Cavani is a natural option: he's young, he's fast-technical-strong, can head and shoot very well and - the most important thing - works a lot for the team and has great mentality. More, he's used to play in Serie A. More, today is very difficult for an italian team to be attractive to a superstar who plays abroad. He costs a lot of money, since has a 4-years contract with Napoli, but maybe not more than Van Persie, Dzeko or Suarez. we'll see...

è ovvio che se gioca nella Roma che non vince niente, lui non vincerà niente. Ma si è sempre distinto, anche in nazionale. Il "non vincere" è sempre relativo, non si può usare come termine di valutazione. Se dovessimo guardare chi "vince" e chi "non vince" allora molti dei giocatori chiamati in nazionale non dovrebbe esserci.
