Hey all,
Since i am travelling to Sardinia in a month from now, I would have liked you opinions on which places I should definately go.
Could you guys give me some tips? Some hidden gems I won't find on the internet?
Grazie mille!

su sokker ci sono più sardi che lombardi, non posso ricordarmeli tutti! :D
Are you coming by car, or moving by train, buses, etc?
Are you interested in cultural heritage, wildlife, or just beaches?
In which part of Sardinia are you staying? North (Sassari, Olbia) or South (Cagliari)?

We arrive in the south (Cagliari) and our departure is in Alghero. The plan was to use public transportation (supposed to be ok?) but renting a car is definately a possibility though!
We're most interested in:
- Nice 'historical' cities (preferably smaller, cosy cities)
- Anything that combines adventure and nature
- Nice panoramic views
We're not really into laying on beaches for the entire holidays, altough we'll sure take a swim when we can. ;)

if you rent a car (public transportation are not very good, imho) you can visit from north to south
-Alghero (beautiful storic center)
-Pelosa beach in Stintino
-Monte d'Accoddi (Pyramid)
-Castelsardo (castle)
-Osilo (castle)
-Nuraghe Santu Antine
-Nuraghe Barumini
for south places better other than me
but Sardinia has so many good locations...

Public transport in Sardinia is really subpar, and may limit a lot your possibilities. If you aren't going to rent a car, some nice places not so far from the railway are Tharros (near Oristano), the coast between Olbia and Golfo Aranci, the surroundings of Alghero.
Another nice idea is the "trenino verde": older railways now run for tourist into the inner parts of the island. Unfortunately their website is only in Italian (www.treninoverde.com), but it fits your list of interests.
@checco: naughty, naughty boy :P

Woow, didn't expect this much reactions! Cheers guys! I'll check it all out when i'm back from work :).
@ Checco: You may keep your "beaches", I wouldn't dare to mess around with Italian girls (and especially their family :p)
try the famous sardinia beer, the Ichnusa.
probably you will forget everything about sardinia.
