Subject: Holidays in Italy

Why are you planning to go to Manfredonia? O_o

From pictures it looked kind on nice with a decent beach:) We are planning to stay there for a night and drive around near Vieste etc. Manfredonia is a bad idea?

Sorrento ad amalfi are not in your schedule?

They both definitely are and right now we are planning to stay there for at least 2 days.

I would suggest that route? Too much driving for a week maybe?

My wife's parents are from Vieste...
I suggest you to find a place to stay there instead (by car is about 1 hour more from Manfredonia), and rather visit Peschici together with Vieste...
But if you have only few days I think is better for you to focus on just one city (i.e. in Vieste you have the Old City, the Foresta Umbra, a really huge amounts of hidden seasides, caves, etc...).
In Manfredonia I don't think there's a lot worth to be visited, and the sea is not that famous as well...

About 200km every day. have u ever been in Italy?

I live near Manfredonia (San Giovanni Rotondo, San Pio's Sanctuary) and agree with icciban: let Manfredonia apart and choose Vieste and Peschici instead!

Never been to Italy. Last year we visited Croatia also for a week and we drove around 1200km. It seems a lot, but it was actually pretty ok.

We are not going to drive 200km every day. Right now the plan is following.
We will arrive 3.07 around 22 and will stay in Napoli. 04.07 drive to Manfredonia and stay there for a night. Then two nights 5th and 6th of July will stay in Bari. Then another 2 nights in Salerno and last night in Napoli. We definitely won`t be driving all the time. Are the roads bad?

I think you should increase the time spent in Napoli.
I don't know Salerno very good, but I don't think is at the same level.

Roma is far about 200km since Napoli

My one week Italian trip is almost over. Will fly back to Estonia tomorrow. We drove around 1200km, which is ok.
1. People are very nice and helpful. Even though most of you dont speak english, you use your arms or other signs for helping.
2. Traffic is insane in cities. Those vespa drivers are killing me. They drive everywhere they want. You have traffick signs, but in Italy they are mostly suggestive:) I see that most cars are small. We have fiat panda which is perfect. Most cars here have scraches/ dents or bit broken. Weird

Yes, 2 days is enough.

I like Italy. Napoli-Vieste-Bari-Salerno-Amalfi-Sorrento-Napoli. Looks a lot, but we are satisfied. Right now I am in the old town of Napoli with my Panda, insane

Prices here are same or even cheaper than in Estonia. Food is great. Mostly pizza-pasta diet. Going tonight to di matteos pizza in Napoli.
