ik kreeg zondagavond contact met borkos, hij vroeg of ik hem kon helpen zoals ik ook met Group B gedaan had. Hij had de interviews afgenomen, deze heb ik vanochtend ontvangen, en zie daar het resultaat.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
The opening two matches against the Czech Republic & Columbia were a little closer than I would have hoped for. However, with four injuries & three red-cards in those two games we were always going to struggle to totally dominate & coming away with two wins was satisfying.
Our final match against Austria was far more comfortable & I feel England dominated from start to finish despite playing without a centre-back for the final twenty minutes after he picked up a late injury!
Overall I'm happy to get three wins from the group games, its a good set of results & sets us up well for the later stages.
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
I wouldn't say that there was anything that was special in my group, apart from the huge number of injuries & suspensions England have picked up. The two strongest teams qualified comfortably as expected.
In the world cup as a whole, I have been most impressed with Estonia, they have performed consistently well & look to be a very dangerous team.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
I'm not too concerned who England play against, I feel we can beat any of the teams in the world cup.
I guess that teams like Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Belgium & Spain would be harder matches, but I would still enjoy the challenge.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
I would want to play Poland in the world cup final because I want to be able to say that I beat the best.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
We have played 3 very tough matches and were scared of a chance not going further to the very last moment. Once we were unlucky, second time lucky, everything was like up and down....simply lot of emotions and smiling faces on our side in the end :)
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
Remarkable in group? Group was very even, every team had a chance to promote further before the last match. This has created a really enjoyable environment.
And in the tournament? Pretty much the same...thrilling mathes till the end with no clear group favorites, mostly.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
If you want to win the cup, you have to defeat any opponent....blablabla :)
Poland – reason is simple, superior team quality :)
Eesti – great and unpredictable coach handling great team

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
It was hard for Nederland to become first in the 'group of dead', but we did it :)
We where very unlucky against Italy. I used the wrong orders, we got a very fast red card in the defence and the game was over. The match against Magyarország was better, but still not great. Brasil.. yeah we had just a lucky day :D
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
Magyarország, the NT coach did a great job with his squad. A little more luck and they could go to the next round.

Spain.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
I think that we have made a great match against Nederland, who can count on a great offensive "army", and the team was good drawn, had the right distances between wards and maximized the great skills of Spiritoso lunching him quite always in a perfect way.
Against Brazil I've tried out a tactic which revealed itself as a total failure. Bruno changed his way of playing and I didn't expected some tactical solutions he presented, so that the 3 points for green/gold in this match was quite large, but doubtless fair: congratulations to him.
Against Hungary, in the end, I think was the right match to have some laughes in sokker...18 times our strikers shoot in a face-to-face against the opposite keeper, but we manage in scoring only one penalty...
Scoring a goal more would have let us pass as first in our group, but this is sokker....
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
In my group I think the extreme balance between all the teams, since until the last round all the possibilities were opened, and each team could fight for the pass, and this was a surprised since we all thought that Hungary would have had only a secondary role in the Group.
At a World level I think it's remarkable the great route made by Turkey until now...They ended as first in a group where Espana and Croatia were given to fight for the first 2 positions, astonishing everybody with a great way of playing
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
Eesti: They have lots of strong players, and Bluep is a great tactician.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
Polska: Since you can't deserve a title if you don't beat the monsters...

Two tough games against Scotland and Schweiz, and this time win and draw was enough to win this group. Match against Sweden wasn´t so tough.
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
Tactics and tactics. All coutries that are still in has so strong team that there isn´t any chances to succees with average tactics. Also injuries and main players form breakdowns are important.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
All opponents are fine for me.

If I should mention one maybe I choose Eesti. They have very strong team and it is always interesting to play against our southern neighbour :)

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
First one was a claer win, second one was veeery close. Unbelievable that there were only two goals in the end (1:1). An incredible match! The last one was close too. Against Scotland, we got some very good chances, but so did they. Finally our winger didn't have that much influence as usual and so we played 0:0. Two very good defences played a correct draw.
So we qualified for the first time ever for the finals! Go Switzerland!
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
In our group: Sweden played unlucky and lost too high against Finland und Scotland. Scotland probably would have beaten Finland if they hadn't had the red card for their only striker in the second half (47. minutes).
in the World Cup: Austria played better than the Czech Republic and lost very unlucky! They should be in the finals instead of the Czech. I only followed the German group, the Austrian group and ours so far.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
Poland. I guess we might win against any other country if anything fits perfectly. But not against Poland. Their individual class is just superdivine.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
Against Germany. Ganzengeile is a well known sokkerfriend of mine, we often use to talk about sokker and go for a drink at the meetings. It would be a real sokkerdream coming true to get to the final and then playing against him (Germany).

Well i think we play as we did in the past season, our first match was against Polska so was a really hard start and i think we deserved a better result, but thats sokker, agains Island we need it to make a lot of goals and the ball refuses to get in so we got to Portugal with the need to win them, cuz a tie will leave us out, we make a good game but again the ball didnt wanna get in but we score and then with open spaces increase our advantage.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
The first match wasn't optimal. The tactics wasn't that bad, but France surprised with a pretty offensive tactics. Both teams had many chances, 60 minutes we struggled in converting them. Finally substituting the striker helped, the new one scored a hattrick and saved us a point, which was more than deserved.
The second match against Srbija was a tough one, they played with a 6 men defense. Their only striker couldn't cause much damage and we won 3:0. But this match will be remembered for the probably most remarkable own goal in Sokker WC history.
The last match was an offensive spectacle with 8 goals. Two injuries on our side could cause some problems for the next round however.
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
Petko Janjić' own goal. He scored the 1:0 against Germany with walking in his own goal.
Group B was incredibly thrilling! All 4 teams with 3 points before the last match, that was an amazing situation.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
Definitely against Switzerland! Now everybody might think that's stupid because they seem to be the easiest opponent. But because I'm Swiss I don't wanna play against my fellow countrymen.
But now we're in the knock out stage, you're not allowed to do any mistakes and you have to beat everybody if you wanna stay in. So I actually don't care who'll be our opponent.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
Hmm ... Switzerland! :-)
Before I said I don't wanna play against them, but in a WC final I'd make an exception.
Otherwise Poland, they're the best and there's no doubt it would be a big thing to play against the best at the end of a tournament.

They were all really exciting and tense with Denmark almost breaking us down. The first one with Belgium was the best, though. The scoreline itself isn’t that big a deal but the way it came, is. Some say it wasn’t pretty, but for me, if Eesti fails to go far, this will be the game to remember. :)
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
As I already said, Eesti vs Belgium was remarkable, and of course the fact that Belgium advanced with just 3 points. In general, there were no surprises for me if not to mention that Turkey was phenomenal and there are some really strong teams in the second group.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
I wouldn’t have liked to play against any of the countries I’ve already faced but England must be the one to avoid most and not Poland because Poland in the final would be great. :)

Poland because winning the world cup title would taste a lot better that way.

Germany. Ganzengeile is even weaker than I am. It would mean certain WC victory, as Germany has a curse upon them when playing Belgium.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
I do not remember all of the 3 groups for the last 3 world, but about groups of the past 2 world if I can say better because I live more closely:
2 seasons ago we played during League play against Scotland, France and Serbia. That group had its difficulties, but we pass this first stage win 3 games and the experience was very positive and interesting.
This season, in the classification stage, we have played some very interesting rivals, but this time we have won only 2 out of 3 games of the classification stage. Once classified mathematically, we have focused our goal to win the world and for that we are sensitive and prepared: D
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
In our group the group G (Uruguay, Turkey and Croatia) stress the good impressions we tactics caused Croatia, and the good game we won in Turkey, from Uruguay to underline the great fighting spirit they demonstrated in front of us because they never wrinkle and always went to the match.
From World Cup, I have nothing remarkable so far.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
We are not afraid of any rival, so we are not against any country that does not want crossed before the final. Fortunately there are several which have SN and a high enough level to win this world, and if we want to be world champions, we have to play against the best countries in the world.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
For the Final, there are 2 countries with which I would like to see, and these countries are Italy and Poland. The reason is that Spain has an outstanding account with them in previous phases, and so I would like encontrarmelos in the final. I really worth much as the other one.

Romania will play against Česká republika. I wanted another team like Schweiz or Suomi, because they seem weaker than Romania. Anyway, we will try to succeed.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
The opening two matches against the Czech Republic & Columbia were a little closer than I would have hoped for. However, with four injuries & three red-cards in those two games we were always going to struggle to totally dominate & coming away with two wins was satisfying.
Our final match against Austria was far more comfortable & I feel England dominated from start to finish despite playing without a centre-back for the final twenty minutes after he picked up a late injury!
Overall I'm happy to get three wins from the group games, its a good set of results & sets us up well for the later stages.
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
I wouldn't say that there was anything that was special in my group, apart from the huge number of injuries & suspensions England have picked up. The two strongest teams qualified comfortably as expected.
In the world cup as a whole, I have been most impressed with Estonia, they have performed consistently well & look to be a very dangerous team.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
I'm not too concerned who England play against, I feel we can beat any of the teams in the world cup.
I guess that teams like Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Belgium & Spain would be harder matches, but I would still enjoy the challenge.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
I would want to play Poland in the world cup final because I want to be able to say that I beat the best.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
We have played 3 very tough matches and were scared of a chance not going further to the very last moment. Once we were unlucky, second time lucky, everything was like up and down....simply lot of emotions and smiling faces on our side in the end :)
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
Remarkable in group? Group was very even, every team had a chance to promote further before the last match. This has created a really enjoyable environment.
And in the tournament? Pretty much the same...thrilling mathes till the end with no clear group favorites, mostly.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
If you want to win the cup, you have to defeat any opponent....blablabla :)
Poland – reason is simple, superior team quality :)

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
It was hard for Nederland to become first in the 'group of dead', but we did it :)
We where very unlucky against Italy. I used the wrong orders, we got a very fast red card in the defence and the game was over. The match against Magyarország was better, but still not great. Brasil.. yeah we had just a lucky day :D
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
Magyarország, the NT coach did a great job with his squad. A little more luck and they could go to the next round.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
I think that we have made a great match against Nederland, who can count on a great offensive "army", and the team was good drawn, had the right distances between wards and maximized the great skills of Spiritoso lunching him quite always in a perfect way.
Against Brazil I've tried out a tactic which revealed itself as a total failure. Bruno changed his way of playing and I didn't expected some tactical solutions he presented, so that the 3 points for green/gold in this match was quite large, but doubtless fair: congratulations to him.
Against Hungary, in the end, I think was the right match to have some laughes in sokker...18 times our strikers shoot in a face-to-face against the opposite keeper, but we manage in scoring only one penalty...
Scoring a goal more would have let us pass as first in our group, but this is sokker....
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
In my group I think the extreme balance between all the teams, since until the last round all the possibilities were opened, and each team could fight for the pass, and this was a surprised since we all thought that Hungary would have had only a secondary role in the Group.
At a World level I think it's remarkable the great route made by Turkey until now...They ended as first in a group where Espana and Croatia were given to fight for the first 2 positions, astonishing everybody with a great way of playing
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
Eesti: They have lots of strong players, and Bluep is a great tactician.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
Polska: Since you can't deserve a title if you don't beat the monsters...

Two tough games against Scotland and Schweiz, and this time win and draw was enough to win this group. Match against Sweden wasn´t so tough.
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
Tactics and tactics. All coutries that are still in has so strong team that there isn´t any chances to succees with average tactics. Also injuries and main players form breakdowns are important.

All opponents are fine for me.

If I should mention one maybe I choose Eesti. They have very strong team and it is always interesting to play against our southern neighbour :)

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
First one was a claer win, second one was veeery close. Unbelievable that there were only two goals in the end (1:1). An incredible match! The last one was close too. Against Scotland, we got some very good chances, but so did they. Finally our winger didn't have that much influence as usual and so we played 0:0. Two very good defences played a correct draw.
So we qualified for the first time ever for the finals! Go Switzerland!
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
In our group: Sweden played unlucky and lost too high against Finland und Scotland. Scotland probably would have beaten Finland if they hadn't had the red card for their only striker in the second half (47. minutes).
in the World Cup: Austria played better than the Czech Republic and lost very unlucky! They should be in the finals instead of the Czech. I only followed the German group, the Austrian group and ours so far.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
Poland. I guess we might win against any other country if anything fits perfectly. But not against Poland. Their individual class is just superdivine.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
Against Germany. Ganzengeile is a well known sokkerfriend of mine, we often use to talk about sokker and go for a drink at the meetings. It would be a real sokkerdream coming true to get to the final and then playing against him (Germany).

First game, against Mexico, was a game for 1 place in the group, as they were the strongest opponent. After we won it, we were able to get cool and use some reserve players in last 2 games.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
Well i think we play as we did in the past season, our first match was against Polska so was a really hard start and i think we deserved a better result, but thats sokker, agains Island we need it to make a lot of goals and the ball refuses to get in so we got to Portugal with the need to win them, cuz a tie will leave us out, we make a good game but again the ball didnt wanna get in but we score and then with open spaces increase our advantage.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
The first match wasn't optimal. The tactics wasn't that bad, but France surprised with a pretty offensive tactics. Both teams had many chances, 60 minutes we struggled in converting them. Finally substituting the striker helped, the new one scored a hattrick and saved us a point, which was more than deserved.
The second match against Srbija was a tough one, they played with a 6 men defense. Their only striker couldn't cause much damage and we won 3:0. But this match will be remembered for the probably most remarkable own goal in Sokker WC history.
The last match was an offensive spectacle with 8 goals. Two injuries on our side could cause some problems for the next round however.
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
Petko Janjić' own goal. He scored the 1:0 against Germany with walking in his own goal.
Group B was incredibly thrilling! All 4 teams with 3 points before the last match, that was an amazing situation.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
Definitely against Switzerland! Now everybody might think that's stupid because they seem to be the easiest opponent. But because I'm Swiss I don't wanna play against my fellow countrymen.
But now we're in the knock out stage, you're not allowed to do any mistakes and you have to beat everybody if you wanna stay in. So I actually don't care who'll be our opponent.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
Hmm ... Switzerland! :-)
Before I said I don't wanna play against them, but in a WC final I'd make an exception.
Otherwise Poland, they're the best and there's no doubt it would be a big thing to play against the best at the end of a tournament.

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
They were all really exciting and tense with Denmark almost breaking us down. The first one with Belgium was the best, though. The scoreline itself isn’t that big a deal but the way it came, is. Some say it wasn’t pretty, but for me, if Eesti fails to go far, this will be the game to remember. :)
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
As I already said, Eesti vs Belgium was remarkable, and of course the fact that Belgium advanced with just 3 points. In general, there were no surprises for me if not to mention that Turkey was phenomenal and there are some really strong teams in the second group.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
I wouldn’t have liked to play against any of the countries I’ve already faced but England must be the one to avoid most and not Poland because Poland in the final would be great. :)

What can you say about the past 3 World Cup group matches of your country?
I do not remember all of the 3 groups for the last 3 world, but about groups of the past 2 world if I can say better because I live more closely:
2 seasons ago we played during League play against Scotland, France and Serbia. That group had its difficulties, but we pass this first stage win 3 games and the experience was very positive and interesting.
This season, in the classification stage, we have played some very interesting rivals, but this time we have won only 2 out of 3 games of the classification stage. Once classified mathematically, we have focused our goal to win the world and for that we are sensitive and prepared: D
What do you think was remarkable in your Group, and what was remarkable overall in the World Cup untill now?
In our group the group G (Uruguay, Turkey and Croatia) stress the good impressions we tactics caused Croatia, and the good game we won in Turkey, from Uruguay to underline the great fighting spirit they demonstrated in front of us because they never wrinkle and always went to the match.
From World Cup, I have nothing remarkable so far.
What country you definitely don't want to play against and why?
We are not afraid of any rival, so we are not against any country that does not want crossed before the final. Fortunately there are several which have SN and a high enough level to win this world, and if we want to be world champions, we have to play against the best countries in the world.
What country you would like to play against in the cup final and why?
For the Final, there are 2 countries with which I would like to see, and these countries are Italy and Poland. The reason is that Spain has an outstanding account with them in previous phases, and so I would like encontrarmelos in the final. I really worth much as the other one.

We had a balanced group. I am very happy that we succeeded to win this group.

een underdog positie is ook niet altijd verkeerd :) Meestal moeten wij toch wel het spel maken omdat wij sterker geacht worden.
zaterdag ben je geen underdog hoor. Ik snap niet dat zoveel mensen Belgie bij de laatste 4 zien. Hele WK was een kwakkel tot nu toe ...
