Subject: [NT]Nederland - Uruguay

We're almost at the middle of the qualification stage and we are in front of 2 important matches, against second place in group, Uruguay (games separated by a friendly against Mexico).

Uruguay, officieel de Republiek ten oosten van de Uruguay (Spaans: República Oriental del Uruguay) is een land in Zuid-Amerika. De naam wordt uitgesproken als Oeroegwaj, in het Nederlands ligt de klemtoon meestal op de eerste lettergreep, in het Spaans op de laatste. Uruguay werd in 1828 een onafhankelijke republiek en kreeg in 1830 een grondwet en een parlement. Sinds 1967 is Uruguay een republiek met een tweekamerparlement.

Uruguay is vernoemd naar de gelijknamige rivier die de westgrens van het land met Argentinië vormt en betekent Rivier van de geschilderde vogels in het Guaraní. Overige grenzen van het land zijn in het noorden met Brazilië (gescheiden door onder andere de rivieren Cuareim, Yaguarón en de Merínlagune) en in het zuiden van Argentinië door de Río de la Plata. Ten oosten van het land ligt de Atlantische Oceaan.

Uruguay is lid van de Unie van Zuid-Amerikaanse Naties. Volgens de Transparency International is Uruguay het op één na minst corrupte land van Latijns-Amerika[4], met een score van 6,9 op een tienpuntenschaal (na Chili). De politieke en werkomstandigheden in Uruguay behoren tot de vrijste van het continent. En het wordt ook het Zwitserland van Zuid-Amerika genoemd.

so it's an important game, we must win at least one from these 2 games against them. With 2 wins, we'll 99,9% secure the first place in group :)

Don't know what to say more... I hope everything will go ok. The game will start on Saturday, 24th of March, at 17:00 sk-time.

difficult one, red card in 10 min, 0-1 HT :(

pffft... great fight spirit for our players, nice comeback.
But very ugly game, I apologize for this one, it's my fault.
This is the risk when playing with 2 central mids. Though, I placed an order, winger to go on position 7 and 8 (central mids), in case of red cards or no player. But position Plegt was in def, still with the same number, so the winger didn't come in center.

I'm happy with the win, though. Very important. It will be different next game, we'll be more prepared.

the only thing that sucked at our tactic was the number of central mids.
even in 10, they still had only 4 shots (and I think only 3 of them were real chances), I felt we were better anyway, the def was good, but the ball couldn't reach the attack...
we still had more chances than they had.

but no more 2 central mids, too risky...

This week we play again against Uruguay.
A win will send us pretty far away from our followers

I tried to calculate the world cup pots, as we're halfway the qualification stage, and currently we're around 7-8 place on first pot. I hope we can maintain this position, goals can be important, in the end...
But there were some surprising results in other groups, so if we manage to keep a 100% win record, we should be in first pot.

Saturday, we play home, so starting with 12 sk-time :)
