Baluba [del] to All
Hello to all, my name is Frank and I am Italian.

Last week I am returned dall' Holland, I have passed three weeks of vacations travelling in every region of your beautiful country

I write because I want to say thanks all the Dutch for the splendid courtesy who I have found in every angle of Holland. In three weeks I have only met great gentility and ready people to help me.

I hope that you will find as much courtesy when you will visit Italy

Thanks, indeed thanks

^___^

p.s.
sorry for my poor english, but in Dutch I have only learned to say "goedemorgen" :D

Have you also visiting Groningen?, the most beautiful city of Holland ;)
2009-08-03 13:22:29
Groningen?

yes
but only a half day, too much location to visit :)

I am also going to north coast to walk in the mud. Wadlopen! :D a very strange sport

So you didn't visit Amsterdam..., otherwise you would be less positive about The Netherlands ;)
Groningen....? Good thought to visit that for only half a day, lol ;)
I suppose you did visit Utrecht and than i understand that you are so positive!

Wadlopen was invented by a dutch man who wouldn't pay for the boat ;)

(just kidding ;) )

eheh
no, no, I have a good experience a Amsterdam amd i want to remember it

I was searching a camping in the south pf Amterdam (Uthrect direction) e I lost the way in the interlacing of highways

now, where i can go??

I see a little van of DHL parking on a side of the highway, so I stop my camper and ask to him for the way to camping

He remember where is the camping but it was not in a position to explaining the road, too much complicated!

He say: "follow me"! and start, he drive for many complicated crossings for beyond five kilometers and lead me to the camping

very nice people :))))

He wouldn't have done that if he didn't need to be in that direction. Compared to the Mediterranean, people in the Netherlands are much more strict regarding time and schedules.

You told that you went "wadlopen' (mud flat walking) so I suppose you went to Frisia as well. I was wondering where you went. Did you walk to and isle or sand bank or did you just walk around?

Did you also go to other places in Frisia and, if yes, how did you like it?

You might have noticed that we all ask how you did like the places were we live. In the Netherlands we're not that nationalistic, but inside we are all secretly very proud of who we are and where we are from (the Netherlands, province/region, city, etc.)

may be, but I do not think, he was very gentle and drive slowly ^_^

just walk around one hour, just to can say: "me too wadlopen!" :D

I enter in Frisia from NE after sleep in a camping in Lauwersoog, driving on N358 e N357 to Leeuwarden.
On the road just visit the terp of hegebeitum, in Leeuwarden (edit!) I remember the Frisiam museum (but do not remember the name, sorry :D)

Too bad you didn't walk to an isle, that's the most fun thing to do.

I didn't know there was a Frisian museum in Lauwersoog, on the internet I could only find a fishery museum. In Leeuwarden we have a Frisian museum (called Fries Museum).

I understand you had much fun in the Netherlands, but you have still not seen lots of other beautiful places. It's like every holiday: when you're back home you have only see tiny little part of everything.
