I see we are looking to get our Dutch connection up and running again.
We tried with Dyron Daal and Ferne Snoyl in recent seasons. But It didn't work out for various reasons. I liked both these players but Daal wasn't consdiered good enough, and don't think we could afford Snoyl long term.
We tried signing Ferrie Bodde (Our Manager described him as the Dutch Roy Keane type) but worrying weren't prepared to pay £75k for him. Although we got Jackie McNamara for free who is a similar type player position wise.
We already have the silky defender Karim Touzani who has been on the bench too much in my opinion!
Anyway my questions to you Dutch guys are regarding our newest signing targets.
Tall Dutch amateur Robert Fik (Possibly our new Van Der Ark) and De Graafschap winger Jeffrey de Visscher (possibly our new Hans Gilhaus)
What do you think of them?
All I know at the moment is Robert Fik scored 20+ goals for Dutch amateur Champions this season.
And Jeffrey de Visscher scored 10 goals and assisted 11 times for De Graafschap aka the "Super Farmers". Will go down well with us Sheep. Also they won Dutch div 2 quite convincingly. He seemed to be a key player for them, playing as a winger and taking pens.
Exciting times ahead for the dandies if we can get a Dutch element added to our play,
Cheers in advance for your thoughts.

I hate Karim Touzani !
About that amateur Robert Fik, I don't know him.
And Jeffrey de Visscher wasn't the main reason they won this season I think (although a team wins the championship, not only 2 players). The best players were Berry Powel and Jhon van Beukering. But with 10 goals and 11 assists he also had a good season.

Why do you hate Karim Touzani!?
Is this the reason...
"While playing for Utrecht, he was just about to make a £1.5 million move to PSV Eindhoven, until an unfortunate training ground injury. He suffered a cracked tibia and fibula, after an ill-timed lunge tackle by Dirk Kuyt."
Agree takes more than 1 or 2 players to make a team.

He came from my team, FC Utrecht.
He got a serious injury and needed time to come back and my team gave him that change. The moment he could play again he didn't signed a new contract and left. After all the time FC Utrecht gave him to recover and paid his salary. And he wasn’t injured a week but more than half a season if I’m right.
All players that left that year got their applause and thanks from the supporters, but when he came up the platform that was build in our stadium 20.000 supporters were screaming he had to get lost and everyone was whistling. No one ever want to see him back in the team of FC Utrecht.

Yeh, he really showed his loyalty to FC Utrecht that moment :S
Just like Dirk Kuyt... saying that he'll return to Utrecht at the end of his career... and few years later, he's saying exactly the same, only with a different club (Feyenoord)... hehe :-)

I remember Touzani more for his poor performance, a lot of costly slip-ups.
Snoyl is not really good.
He was never really convincing at NEC this season...
De Visscher seems a good player to me, though he played 2nd div. I am not sure or he will also be that good on a higher level.
