Yep, 2 prof divisions. Below that are all amateurs.

We're only a small country. Maybe in far future promotion from amateurs will be possible, but not for now.

The only exception are teams like Omniworld. They were amateur but decided to be a pro team.

Den haag en waalwijk are relegated from the higher division, the 'Eredivisie'

Why do you think amateur clubs will never play in the eredivisie, the top teams can win easily 15-0 over them.

Didn't know that, actually I am not really interested in the Jupiler League as it gets only few airtime. The closest teams - if I would like to visit them- aren't that close from Amsterdam. Haarlem and Volendam are the closest, the bus to Volendam stops close to my house, but still I am reluctant to go. So that's another factor.

There are leagues for Saturday and leagues for sunday. It's also per district. Zevende Klasse, for example is only in the north of the country and only in Saturday football. As far as I know, in the north Saturday leagues are bigger, in the south Sunday leagues. This is because of religion. For Protestants Sunday was a day to rest and Catholics have less problems with playing on Sunday.
