Albion in Bulvár.
----------------------------------------------

1) First of all I’d like to thank you for your kindness in making an interview and at once I want to excuse myself of my average English. We start with you as with the real life person. You may introduce yourself right there...

I’m Karl, 21 and live in England.

----------------------------------------------

2) How did you find Sokker?

It was a random (more or less) post in the Auto Sport International federation over on hat trick. A few people were checking it out so I decided to aswell. Never looked back since.

----------------------------------------------

3) Right now, I’m listening to a band, which is from Wigan called the Verve. Who is your favourite singer andor music group?

I can’t say I have any favourites really. Generally as long as it isn’t rap (which I hate with a passion) or Coldplay, I’m not too worried. I do rate Europe though as one of my favourite bands.

----------------------------------------------

4) In England I ate many new meals I had not eaten before, which do you like the most of all? Could you explain it for Czech managers in case it’s something special, please?

Not something I’ve really given a lot of thought! I quite like a good Sunday Roast though, which is meat (beef, chicken, pork, lamb or something cooked in the oven), vegetables (i.e. cabbage, carrots, runner beans), Yorkshire pudding (hard to describe, but could be described as being a batter pudding like you get around fish you get from fish and chip shops, ish, or like pancake mix that is inflated), roast potatoes (done in the oven) with gravy. Usually followed by a dessert which can be almost anything sweet.

----------------------------------------------

5) Next onto Sokker. You have been first, second and third in your Premiership. This season you are doing pretty well, as I might see, you’ve already won it again...

I’ve not won it quite yet! Although it would take a pretty spectacular disaster for me to lose it with a large GD advantage and a 6 point lead with 2 games left.

The last two seasons were overall fairly poor for me, and it did not help that I was not really able to compete with forestman who had by far the better side, and I robbed him when I stole the III.02 league from him in my first Sokker season. My first time winning the premiership was a hollow victory as there were only ever 2 teams who could realistically win it (me and wolfmen). I was pleased to get to the cup final last season, something which I’ve not really had much success in otherwise.

----------------------------------------------

6) Last season killed your chances on first place Forestman, but this season he wasn’t so good, is that all because Jon Bevan scored only 13 goals?

There’s a lot more to it than that. Generally the premiership has been tight between me, Redjim (Slackers) and Forestman for a few seasons, with no one else having won a major trophy. I’ve been fortunate to have little in the way of injuries to key players and maintained decent momentum after a good early run in the season.

I’ve generally made some good signings over the season, which has helped me out a lot. Expect it to be closer next season, but it’s never easy these days, with the premiership becoming more and more competitive.

----------------------------------------------

7) Who do you think will be the dark horse of the premiership next season?

Depends really. Super Spurs have been more impressive this season than many expected, and could perhaps even be challenging for the title next season.

----------------------------------------------

8) Who is the best and most valuable player to your team?

It would have to be Corey Bridge. He is by far my best player, I’ve had him since I started and it’s always noticeable when he is missing. Although my best bargain, Peter Thurk, has proved to be invaluable for the small amount of money he cost, and is probably about my best ever buy.

----------------------------------------------

9) You are national coach of England too. You made the semi-final in World Cup, but Italy defeated you, but I can remember how in last minutes you made really big pressure and it did look like you might force extra time. Are you happy, if I say it like that, with your World Cup route? What are your overall thoughts on the World Cup from England’s view and the World Cup in general?

At the start of the tournament I had always aimed to get as far as we could before Poland would be met. Really the semi finals were 1 step away from my goals, but I think when it is considered that sides such as Lietuva and Nederland were already out, and England was the smallest (in users) country remaining, the semi finals were not too bad of an achievement. I was most impressed with the way Germany were beaten more than any other, I expected a close game but it ended up being nothing like that. It did seem though like we (England) were lucky a lot throughout the tournament. The qualifying group was by far the easiest, and then the 1st round of the World Cup proper draw was also one of the easier ones. Although it was never really easy from that point, and it was still hard work getting all the way through them.

It was a good World Cup overall for Sokker. Although it was predictable that it would be Poland who went all the way to win it, countries such as Hrvatska did themselves proud, when I do not think anyone really expected them to get as far as they did.

----------------------------------------------

10) I like Mario Simpson, he seems like David Beckham to me, but on WC he didn’t play much, why?

He just wasn’t the type of player I was looking for. He is good, but I was looking for players that would give more options attack wise than him.

----------------------------------------------

11) As the question before about your own side, who is English best player and who is the most valuable for the team?

On pure skills it would have to be my own Corey Bridge. However, Phil Hann has been a huge asset to the team as has Jon Bevan over the seasons. It’s a shame that England doesn’t have more players of their calibre.

----------------------------------------------

12) Are you going to candidate again on National team manager in England or you will try it somewhere else?

I’m highly unlikely to apply for the England job again, as I feel it is time to hand over the job. I am planning to run as a joke candidate in Poland though, and on a more serious note I have offered to help someone out on one of the smaller SK nations if they get the NT job.

----------------------------------------------

13) Finally, I’d like to ask you on moderator’s work. What do you have to do? And do you like it?

Jobs range from:

- Stopping topics going over the top and generally keeping order in the forums
- Clearing up closed transfer forums
- Helping to clarify translations for the site (i.e. making the news into clearer English)

There are other things, but most of it is covered by the above. It can be fun at times (especially editing shadowman’s posts ;)), at times tedious (especially when it is the same people causing the same problems) but I’m glad I do the job.
