Why do you think that? It seems like more and more teams play 3 att or 3 mid tactics..you hardly see any 451 (541) anymore..which was almost a standard before..

i dont know that - i just see people doing experiments that fit new ME, and i cant see anybody having found the best tactics. still, there is more game in central part of the pitch and sevvol defence tactcis are gone (thanx god!) as well as playing 523 is not the best option as well (kick and rush in purest edition).
anyway, i will play the best 11 i will have at the moment, choosing tactics for the players not other way around

Thanks for the answer. Let's try some specific one. How important are defender's secondaries in regards to the new ME? Let's assume you'll have a choice from those 2 defs (18-18-9-9-9) vs (16-17-12-12-12). Which one would you use?

And another one. 18-18-18 striker in 11 form, or 15-15-15 striker in 18 form?

form is cruitial - no form = no game, but your question (about strikers) is so abstract, i cannot imagine having such a choice:)
anyway - 18-18 def and 18-18-18 striker would be my choice, defenders pass quite good in new ME also without good secondaries
