neuro to All
Hallo,
mein Deutsch is nich gut wie mein English so were ich in English weiter schreiben oder typen ;)

So, I'll be visiting Munich around Christmass for 5 days and I hope to pay special attention to breweries there cause I'm big fan of Munich beers with Weizen being my top favourites.
I already did some research on internet to find beer places to visit, but I know that locals always have knowledge of special places so I decided to ask here on forum.

What I'm looking for is not some fancy-shmancy place, but a typical Munich/Bavaria style pub with relaxed atmosphere where you can feel the traditional beerdrinking spirit.

So far this is my list

Weissen Bräuhaus - Tal 7 - this is my choice clearly because it's Schneider pub, and that's my favourite beer. Give me Aventinus and you can put me in the closet and shut the door, I'll still have a good time :D

Bayerischer Donisl - Weinstraße 1 - lookin at photos it may be bit too fancy, but I read that they have some traditional Bavarian music live after 18h and that's what mada me pick this one. Not really sure what to expect from that music, but I'd like to check it out

Hofbräuhaus - Am Platzl 9 - from what I've heard it's the best known. Not the best quality, but still if I'm in Munich I should probably have one beer there too :)

Anything to add?
My German is probably good enough to get me from point A to point B and order drinks, probably even for a small chat so no worries if it's in suburbs or smt like that.

And if you could tell me which is the best history museum in the city?

Danke

Forgot to write that on my list are

BMW museum
Transportation museum

As I'm mechanical engineer that sounded like logical choice.
I guess they are both worth going to :)

I don't know much about Munich either ... however, I was there two months ago for a business trip and had a some time before my departure. So I went to the Olympiaturm (Olympia tower) to have a great view of the city. It's really close to the BMW museum, so I thought you might want to check it out too.

While you're at it you can also take a good look at the Olympia Stadium, the former stadium of FC Bayern München, which is right next to it. :)

Hi.
I dont have much to add. I was two years ago there over new years eve and this year for the Oktoberfest.
What you mentioned...
Hofbräuhaus is a must visit if you are a beer drinker
Donisl is also great, especially because of the style inside. Its nearby, absolutely worth a visit

For museum you have to go to Deutsches Museum, as far as I remember its huge, plenty to see
BMW Museum is ok if you have enough time
