Subject: coupure ?
Le jue est (bizarrement pour moi) ardu dans son approche pour garder un maximum de joueurs alors qu'il a des atouts introuvables ailleurs.
alors la je ne peux qu'approuver !
j'ai mon amie qui s'est fait une equipe pour pouvoir faire le meme jeu que moi et je peux te dire que si je l'epaule pas regulierement elle aurait arrete (et je te precise que pour mettre un peu plsu de contribution je lui ai offert son "plus" meme si elle s'en sert pas vraiment^^) !
et je m'apercois que je suis pas sur que perso si je devais tout refaire depuis le debut je le referais.
Bien dommage car oui y a plein de jeux en ligne maintenant mais loin d'avoir le charme des lives de sokker. Quand je vois le pathetique hattrick ou les prix sont bien plus chers sur l'abonnement......

Moi le jour où je vais arrêter, c'est quand il y aura une grosse coupure, que je n'aurais pas pu faire mes ordres, que j'aurais perdu un match important et que cela aura bousillé ma saison. Là ca m'énervera à fond et je partirai !

Quand tu passe par la case prison au monopoly tu arrete la partie toi? :) Je plaisante mais bon tu me fera pas croire qu'une saison se joue sur un match seulement (excepté sur le cas du barrage, ce qui serait effectivement une poisse incroyable :p)

En championnat ca se joue souvent à un match pour la qualif' (directe), sans parler des coupes... :p
La qualif directe c'est pour les petites b... :D Rien ne vaut un bon barrage ;)

Et j'avoue que je sais pas trop combien ca demande en serveur pour faire tourner un truc comme ca. Le plus gros du boulot doit etre la génération des matchs j'imagine. non pas d'estimation précise, faut un serveur dédié au moins pour calculer et gérer le traffic... les prix montent assez vite quand j'avais regardé pour un serveur sktable , du genre 1000 euro/mois : j'ai vite abandonné l'idée.
Mais j'avais fait un rapide calcul à la louche des profits avec les abos "plus" et c'était profitable même avec serveur dédié de qualité (et c'est pas le cas pour sokker.org)

nah i usually put value as turnover x 10 years.
assuming i think it was 400 people have plus*, x 23 euro = 9,200 x 10 years puts the value at 90,000
*i cant remember exact amount. if its 200, value is half above. either way he is making in 1 year what you offer and doing nothing for the game in terms of work

I have no idea. There are server costs, uplink costs, system administrator costs, developer/s costs and there will be a few others.
Also the owners of sokker do not get the full sum 23 Euro, payment gateways get their share too.

2400 plus users = 47 736 GBP/ year = 3978 GBP/ month
Currently sokker has 28523 active users - each seeing 2 ad.sense banners on log in and browsing pages and also a banner at match time (for 6 damn minutes).
Considering traffic - 1 euro / 1000 users (from all banner impressions) = 28.523 Euros ...if the users log in (average) more then 10 times a month = 285.23 Euros (at least) from impressions.
The server costs and all the rest is lower than 300 Euro/ month (i can assure that)
So all the people that are working on this game (very few...because it has a lot of voluntaries) are splitting the 4k a month.
I would say ...enough to make a living if they split it by mostly 3 (considering the work they do...nothing...or 1-2 hours a month)...that is a good business!
What I don't get is why they don't grow this business ...I talked a few months ago about the potential of the game when it comes to google indexing and bringing new players ....nobody listened!

Wrong. "My formula" calculates with PROFIT not INCOME. If you dont know the difference, then do not try to attack someone :-P
And i also never said, that my buying price has something to do with "my formula", which actually is not my, but pure IM formula.

I think it's the name... Not everyone is interested in this type of game. You can tell all you friends about sokker but most people don't wanna play something like this. Folks who are interested in these type of games are gonna google it, and they google something like online soccer/footbal manager. When you type this sokker is God knows on what page.

Ok we have an idea of income with the "right" number of "plus". More or less. (miss de payment gateway 'tax' but i dont add advertising income).
Expenses are difficult to estimate, but for sure there s no dev/admin working at full time (the most expensive) because the simple-to-fix bugs are not, announced features are not complete and user/customer feedback is dead ... Or dev are working hard only on a new architecture for mobile but i really doubt about this strategy because Sokker are loosing "plus" each month :)

Hi Blue, a little but useful request (if you can). Is it possible to change the player link in the new form?
Example:
- actual link from NTDB: http://online.sokker.org/player.php?PID=00000000
- new sokker link:http://online.sokker.org/player/PID/00000000
It works, but in order to see plugin and script button it's necessary to click on the player description to reload the player in the sokker new link.
