My pleasure :-)... Oh ! Sorry borkos, i forgot to tell you that with that help, it is said in our forum rules that you must give to latest helper your better player : Enzo Deroo :-)

Just one advice to help you in that kind of exercise given : if you do not have time, often but not still, one type of questions concern only one type of paragraph... I remembered that when i learned english.

Hehe no problem. I wanted to list him now, but he said that he doesn't want to be transferred...:/ ;)

Thanks for this hint. Might be useful :) Though reading is not that hard for me, listening is much worse...I mean, it depends on the topic, but sometimes I can hardly understand anything...

ps. beware! Give me 2 more months and I will start spamming your forum frequently in French! :))

remise à niveau de la connaissance d'une langue

what does it mean? Getting on higher level of language understanding?

My dictionary says that "remiser" mean to "garage" something...:S

na... it's like brushing something you already know but you havent practised in a little while... it's a bit "dusty"...

a remise is effectively a garage or a discount but in that context because "a niveau" is added to it could be translated like "bring back to a level previously achieved" or "updating" (but updating is more "mise a jour")...

What you were suggesting is more like upgrading...

Merci :)

So how could it be written to be not so...hm...clever? I don't want to seem to good you know...;p

Maybe you should paste the whole paragraph so we could get the context... because by making you not so clever we might make you look too stupid! :)

it's too easy to go either way...
look at "revision" in your dico for a start anyway...

2008-10-21 01:21:17
ceux-ci = these... I think...

looking at the paragraph, I wouldnt change it... it looks goodish and not too clever to me... just right...
