Salut :)
I didn't want to create another thread on this forum, but I'd like to ask you a favour.
My friend felt in love in one of a very famous French songs, called "Paris s'éveille". She's been searching for a translation all over the internet... and there isn't any!
The lyrics is probably as follows:
Paris by night, regagne les cars
Unfortunately, I don't understand French and know nobody who could help me with it.
Could you possibly help in translation?
Many thanks :)

Sure, i'll try.
Fisrt of all, this song talks about Paris by night or more about Paris at the end of night... it talks about some majors places of Paris, about some people going to sleep after a long night or people awaking to go to work.
This is a try to translate into english :
I'm the dolphin of the Dauphine place (the author plays with words)
And the Blanche place looks bad face (Blanche means white and the place looks like a woman face)
Trucks are full of milk (plays with sounds "ai" with the words : lait et balais)
Roadsweepers are full of broom
It is five o'clock
Paris is awaking
Paris is awaking
Transvestites are going to shave
Stripteasers are dressed up again
Pillows are crushed
Lovers are tired
It is five o'clock
Paris is awaking
Paris is awaking
Coffee is into the cup
barkeepers are cleaning their shop windows
And onto to Montparnasse boulevard
The station looks like a carcass
It is five o'clock
Paris is awaking
Paris is awaking
Eiffef tower has her foot cold
Tromph Arch is refreshed
And Obelisque is well raised
Between night and day
It is five o'clock
Paris is awaking
Paris is awaking
Suburban people are in the stations
At La Villette, bacon is cut
Paris by night, people are joined buses
Bakers are cooking breads (bâtard means bastard in french but it sounds to be a piece of bread used as famailiar parisian language i think)
It is five o'clock
Paris is awaking
Paris is awaking
Newspapers are printed
Workers are depressed
People are awaking and are bullied
It is time for to go to sleep
It is five o'clock
Paris is awaking
It is five o'clock
And i don't feel tired
