Hi people!
I must prepair for the next lesson in the university of law. We are going to do a conversation about the question, if minor people (under 18 or even under 14 years) should be entitled to take part in movements, which fight for the rights of the gay people (our teacher is fancy about this question:S). I would be grateful, if you explained me, which is the point of your country in this problem. And it would be great, if you could show me links, where I could see the related law (acts or cases). I'm sorry, if this thread insults you. Me too. But I have such teacher, so I must deal with the question.

Thanks in advance!

Why should we feel that?

Do you speak Spanish?

You could feel it, because I know, that Spain is a chatolic country.

No, I don't speak your language, maybe I gonna learn it later.
So, can you add some information or opinion to the question?

Spain is a non-denominational state, and gays marriage are allowed here :D

Let me say that idea is absolutly wrong. Spain is quite far to be a "catholic country", actually, I don't even know one person who goes to the church on Sundays. Although this is the "general idea" about Spain, it's really far to be truth, for example Germany is way more catholic than Spain (I worked there one year).

About your question... I don't understand it. I mean, I don't see the problem of the discussion about minor people being homosexual or defending theis rights.

Your question is about if in Spain we think that the minors shouldn't be allowed to help or to be agree with the homosexual people? or if they shouldn't be homosexual?

If you are asking about if the minor should be allowed to go to concentrations for the gay people, and this sort of event (just to fight for their rights, not going there in order to have free and easy sex with somebody)... of course is legal in Spain and only the most old-fashioned people, the most conservative, could be against that.

Yep, that was my question. Thank you for the answer. I found it on the wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spain#Religion), that 19 % attends church every Sunday, 66 % support "gay marriage". Well, it is a little bit surprising for me, but of course I accept, if it is the truth.

About your question, we didn't even discussed that. It's the first time I know about this question... for me is something like "yes, sure, why not?"

Well, if you think in a conservative family, they won't let their kids to go to those concentrations... but it would be quite strange. And actually, this sort of "conservative old fashion families" are not so many, and their childrens use to be more open minded.

I'm thinking in this sort of concentrations, not those.

About the second... maybe the parents won't let him go, but not because they are against them, just because a huge group of peple, full of semi-nude guys everywhere, if your son/doughter is less than 14... but not for political reasons.

About religion in Spain and the support of the gay marriage... when our Goberment implemented the law, the religious people were against... but they say they didn't want to call them "marriage", they wanted to use another word for it. And they didn't want to let the gays couples to adopt. Just for this, they never said something like "it's agains the God law", or "we don't want them to be together" or something like that.

About that 19%... in my opinion is too high. Would be really interesting to know which is the percentage of the under-25 people. In my opinion it won't be even a 5%
