Subject: Studies in Barcelona

borkos007 to All
There is a chance that since new study year I will study in Barcelona. My studies faculty is in process of making it happen :P and after that I must be chosen as one of the lucky people :P so it's a long way from happening, but still I'd like some information.

Would it be nice to study in Barcelona? What is the temperature from october to march? What are the prices? Are Spanish people generally nice to foreigners? Is it easy to find a place to watch Serie A games?

Why do you want watch Serie A games when you can watch La Liga ones? xD Juve sucks!

I'm not living in Barcelona, sorry...

I will go to Barcelona to study too!
I think that there are a lot of differents kind of people...like every place. You will be well, but you need to learn spanish immediately! It's very importan here, because with english it's really difficult to moove.
The weather is so good. In winter it's a little bit cold, round 5ºC, but the other seasons the weather is ok.
Good luck;)

Pfff Juve rocks! ;) Though I must admit that I would try to watch at least one game of Barca...

Well it would've been my 3rd year at studies :) Hm..Spanish...that's quite a problem :/ I know only English and French...was going to start learning Italian, might consider learning Spanish insted :|

Well...5C is quite hot for winter :P we have up to -20C sometimes ;) 2 weeks ago we had some arctic wind, I was unable to smoke a cigarette because my fingers were freezing :D

I live in Barcelona so I would answer your questions and more =P

Would it be nice to study in Barcelona?

Barcelona is a great city to study and to live, the best way to move around the city is the underground and more at 8'00 am because there are a lot of cars :@

What is the temperature from october to march?

It depens on the year, this Autumn the temperature was around 10-15ºC and some time it grows at 20ºC, on Winter is about 5-10ºC and in Spring like 15-20ºC.

What are the prices?

I don't know prices on Poland so I can't compare, but I think is not cheap. XD

Are Spanish people generally nice to foreigners?

You wouldn't have problems to talk about the people on your studies but in Spanish english level is low, but I think we are nice people =P

Is it easy to find a place to watch Serie A games?

Serie A? You have FCBARCELONA here!! :D:D I don't know but if you have internet you can see by there.

I hope you like it!

Well would definitely be a nice experience :) and I suppose that the prices are quite high...for example, how much do you pay for marlboro, 2l of coca cola?

I guess there will be internet access so watching via internet is always an option...still it's not so much fun as watching in pubs. :P
2009-01-17 00:59:13
marlhboro 3,50 or same
cocacola 1,35
2009-01-17 01:00:33
jajaj malboro it is 3'20€ I think (I don't smoke XD) and 2L coca cola if you go to a supermarket is 1-2€
2009-01-17 01:01:42
2009-01-17 01:01:52
And we have the prices very low if you compare with Germany's or England's...
2009-01-17 01:03:07
:))

3.50€...well that's much, in Poland it's 2.5€...still it's getting worse all the time, so in october there won't be any difference! ;-)
2009-01-17 01:03:40
Well I think everybody has low prices when compared to England. :D

Hope it won't be that bad. Thanks for all answers! :)

Thats true, but It's a postive thing, or not :P?

And about the city..don't have much to say because I live in Madrid, but if you can, coming to Barcelona will be a very good option :) Good luck!
