I've been training defenders since I started playing Sokker, probably because I was fortunate enough to have Baloyi in my team. That has paid off as he has developed into our best NT defender and still continues to improve even though he is 25 and doesn't appear to be especially talented, at least when compared with team-mate Mabotsa.

Anyway, I usually have 10 defenders to work with, all South African. My focus is to keep strengthening my NT players (Mabotsa and Baloyi) while building up new players for the NT as well. If our NT is going to remain competitive off our small userbase, we need to maintain such a focused approach.

This season I have been training pace and have picked up more trainees than I can manage. I still have two older players that are not quite good enough for the NT and never will be. My first objective is to get two of my youngsters to take their places in my first team. Once that happens, my only older players will be the two NT stars and I will be back down to 10 defenders in total.

I plan to continue training pace until the end of the season and switch to something else next season, though I haven't yet decided what to work on.

It's been nearly 6 months since my last training post. Here's an update.

I'm still training pace. Baloyi and Mabotsa are getting old, but they're close to getting pace pops. All 11 of my defenders (all South African) should pop in pace in the next month or so, I hope.

When they've all popped, I'll find out what the new NT coach expects from his defenders and work on the players closest to those requirements to get them into the side. The rest of the youngsters can tag along with whatever training that is.

How about the rest of you guys, especially the Premiership managers? What are your training plans?

hi

I'm training defenders also. I have got 10 very talented players but since I might become notjez assistant if he wins the elections, I'm willing to train a talented south african player...

this is head coach:

Training effectiveness:
brilliant of stamina unsatisfactory of keeper
unearthly of pace unearthly of defender
brilliant of technique unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing brilliant of striker

along with 3 brilliant assistants.

take a note that the player has to be talented. ;-)

Morning Morning

Well i am basically on a 3 season cycle and it is starting again from next week with some Shooting.
Currently my trainees:

Nurno(getting old but a good shooter)
Gordon(Nice technique but need some shooting)
Cyril(Nice all round striker need some darn form)
David(Superstar needs some pace)
Jabulani(Bit of a lightweight)
Riciardas(Huge talent but very young)

Doing shooting this season so expect my 3 main strikers to be selected out of the top 4 from my trainees, all depends on form. Curently need the most work done on the younger strikers, but Gordon gonna enjoy this season of Shooting training with the youngsters. Expecting some good pops from 2 players this season David/Riciardas they have the best talent i have seen on any Bulls players.

Big match this weekend and expect some fireworx

Bizarre week for me. Still training pace but I had four players pop in playmaking and one in pace.
