Yep. Poland again! Last time we had Germany instead of Mexico. Third place will be between us and Bosnia. We'll have to score bucketloads against Singapore and Ukraine to have any chance of qualifying and keep the goals down against the other two.

I remember when I took this job, my first match was a crucial one against Chile, also the first WCQ. We got thrashed. The new coach will also be jumping in with a big game, Bosnia first up. Hopefully things will go better this time.

Yep, except it's not only them that get affected, it's the 3rd seeded sides that get put in with these two sides, so that impacts us as we picked up Uruguay and whoever South Africa picked up as a 3rd seed. Guess it follows through all the groups in some ways as the sides with Cameroon and Tunisia now basically mean the side who finishes 3rd go straight through and we're left with 2 sides amongst 12 groups fighting for the remaining 2 spots.

Got to feel sorry for you lot though (South Africa) drawing the top #1 seed and top #2 seed. Makes it just about game over before it even starts.

At first I had not really understood all you were saying about these ramking till I checked them.

How is it that the 2 new countries start with a higher ranking than us when they have not even done a thing in the game.

Yeah, roll with it. Won't be easy, but if we can beat Bosnia, we've got a shot. There'll be 12 teams fighting for 2 places (all the third placed finishes). The other 2 spots are almost certainties with this ranking system.

We managed to be really unlucky drawing Poland and Mexico. They were the highest ranked teams in the 1st and 2nd baskets. Odds of getting them both was nearly 200/1.

For this weeks friendly against Wales, we've agreed to use our B teams to avoid risk to any key players. As new coaches will be taking over next week, we can only make educated guesses as to their probable lineups. I've contacted the player likely, in my opinion, to be our next coach and we've agreed to rest the following 14 players (keeper + 13 outfielders):

Lathan, Mabizela, Madigage, Permall, Westerhof, Makhaye, Mabotsa, Baloyi, Behr, Rodrigues, Mulekelayi, Goliath, Ngaduana and Yohane

That being the case, here are the players I'll be using tomorrow:
