Subject: [SA Reserves]

Thought I might as well make this since we don't have another dedicated thread to the SA Reserves League.

When will the new season start? Are we waiting on another team?

Good idea getting the topic going early. We can see what interest there is. The league can only start when the cup is over for those taking part, week 7 is the likely starting week.

If I'm calculating correctly, we can have 10 teams, each playing 9 matches from week 7 to week 15.

So far I've got 7 teams:
1. Durban City
2. Blue Bulls
3. Rovers United
4. WoodMead UTD
5. Joburg Vikings
6. mathive stars
7. Dreams FC

Anyone else interested should go ahead and sign up at http://online.sokker.org/league.php?leagueID=35120.

In any case, the rules require that we have an even number of teams.

Yes i am always keen after my cup run i always have truoble finding games for my useless okes

I had to register last season to ensure I dont forget the league.

The SA Reserves league is still on track to start in week 7, after the cup final. We need one more team (can possibly take 3 more), so if anyone hasn't signed up yet, please go ahead.

If no local teams go for it, I'll choose one of the foreign teams that have applied.

Jackpool and the new boys, Sundowns, have joined the league as well, so we're up to 9. I think we can still take one more team.

That is good news. If every team is available, hopefully we won't have arrange friendlies again. Nice!

I will have the chance of having my reserves record a victory against the 2 teams I normally have problems beating and when I do win I am always surprised.

We're back down to 8 teams because Mathive Stars have joined a different league.
We've just got the cup final next week and then our league will kick off the following week.

League set with the 8 teams. I think we'll have 2 weeks free at the end of the season to set our own friendlies, once the reserve league is over.
