He's the one for the future, but you need to give him lots of technique

I'm starting to realize, your NT's future doesn't seem too bright... either you don't have good young players or they're hiding themselves somewhere in Poland :P

Anyway, I'll (at least) try to put the U21 team together, therefore I need you to send me your decent young players aged between 19 and 21!

Is there any way this guy could play ?

Vacys Petraitis, age 40
value: 48 000 Lt, wage: 2 600 Lt
hopeless form
bookings:
solid stamina,
tragic pace,
hopeless technique,
tragic passing,
tragic keeper
tragic defender
tragic playmaker
unsatisfactory striker

He isn`t in his best form, but he`s a nice guy and i think he could compete at an international level.

Of course, he can be our waterboy. He's not exactly in his first youth years anymore, but his stamina will help him cope with the hard job.
2007-10-31 12:33:21
Actualy he`s good at that ;)

personally, i didn't like your tactics, and defenders you use....
2007-11-03 19:14:05
About the tactic, 442 like that is probably my favorite formation :P It's the most simple and solid one too in my opinion. Didn't want to take any risks in the first match, although I must agree it didn't work out well. First thing that pops in my mind is that the wingers were too far on the flanks to help the central midfielder and not high enough to get past the wing defenders of Canada. Our defenders didn't cover the Canadian wingers too well. Miškys was also lost between too lines and didn't really take part of anything there.

I didn't want to choose defenders with no playmaking, passing or technique (below average). I've had not so good experiences with players like these in my own team so it could have been even worse on the NT level. So I tried to pick the ones with best defence and pace out of the bunch who had some side skills too

The match was really poor and we were lucky to have won. It could have gone very differently without the two red cards to Canada. I must analyse and take a closer look at my tactics and what would be the best choice to suit Lithuanian players

1 Reinaldas Kalenikas 6/10
Sometimes the lack of pace appeared and we suffered the second goal because he didn't get to the ball fast enough. Long shots were finely saved though.

2 Jaunius Kisielius 7/10
I chose him mainly because of his excellent-formidable levels in technique, playmaking and passing and he managed nicely with his passing. Defensive play was ok too, only with some failed attempts to steal the ball form the Canadian winger.

3 Anzelmas Ðutkus 8/10
Solid match, didn't notice any mistakes. One of Lietuva's very best defenders.

4 Dangiras Blaþys ...

(32' Juknius Patinas) 6/10
The first goal for Canada was mainly his fault. First touch in the match and in such an important situation, he unfortunately failed to kick the ball away from our penalty box. Apart from that, no other big mistakes.

5 Jaunutis Vaitmonas 7/10

Not much to complain about, mainly managed to cope with his opponent winger.

6 Arminas Grybauskas 6/10

Well yes, he gave the assist that won us the match in the end, but he didn't have the technique to get past the wing defender of Canada many many times. It was the fault of my tactics though.

7 Mikolajus Miškys 5/10
I don't know if it was because of my lousy tactics, but he didn't do anything on the pitch really. He wasn't helping much the defence nor the midfield. Lacked in pace sometimes too.

8 Arûnas Juknys 7/10
Nothing special really, his passes weren't too sharp, but an OK performance.

(46' Eladijus Zopelis) 8/10
Better than Juknys in my opinion. He wouldn't have played if Kaknevièius hadn't been injured, but now I'm glad he did. Although the goal he scored was just an unaccurate cross and he was lucky, I still liked his passes and working rate.

9 Tanislovas Varaneckas 6/10
His technique wasn't enough to beat his opponent defender too, which was a bit of a surprise to me. When I made the tactic, I didn't expect the wingers to break through from the wings though, but to make long passes from the midfield instead, but it didn't work out.

10 Saulius Valentukevièius 7/10
Was better than Ašutaitis in my opinion, even in solid form. I'm glad I decided to let him play and maybe he could have managed to score if he had played in the second half. He broke through quite many times with his technique and had a few (unfortunately unaccurate) long shots.

(46' Salomonas Ašutaitis) 6/10
Lacked of technique and pace to break through from the defence, not a satisfying performance.

11 Emilijus Kuèinskas 7/10
Was alright but I would have expected more to be honest. After all that man is a MONSTER by skills :) Scored one though, but wasted a one-on-one situation and wasn't very dangerous with his technique.
2007-11-03 23:15:46
Grybauskas was 10/10 :))))))
2007-11-03 23:18:32
That's true, but I like to blame my tactical mistakes on players :)

His skills are so great that I would have waited for a better performance though. I mean, his passing was nice but his technique let him down. Gonna have to try him on different positions.
2007-11-03 23:19:59
Well now i'm training him in technique, but he's too old..
